Room Tip:

Friendly smile greets everyone at the resort staff also like heaven. The rooms are very elegant in a typical Thai style. You can relax or have an atmosphere of healing aromatherapy candles. Also nice to take the Kata Beach overlooking the entire city in a location uptown. Concern, such as meals so far because it is also within walking distance to the center of the Kata is not even. Italian restaurant in the hotel is also recommended for seafood stalls or tie of the city's still there. The hotel is perfect for couples to spend on something particularly romantic.

We recently stayed at Boomerang Village in a Pool side room. The grounds of the hotel are really stunning and feels like a world away from the rest of hectic Phuket. The room was also very nice in terms of the decor and amenities. The bed was by far one of the most comfortable of our whole trip. The free breakfast was excellent, with a lot of variety and good tasting food. Finally, the service from the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Boomerang to anyone wanting to stay a bit away from the hustle and bustle in an affordable yet stunning place.

The owner told me that there is no such thing as 'perfection' ~ but I beg to disagree; Boomerang Village Resort was the perfect retreat for us and (try as we might) we have not managed to come up with one negative aspect to our stay.

We had a Pool Suite which was absolutely delightful and provided all the comforts and luxuries that one could need; very comfortable bed, amazing bathroom, wifi, fridge, tea making facilities, multi-channel t.v (including Brit channels ~ no escaping Jeremy Kyle) and beautifully fragranced oil burner. The house-keeping staff should be commended on the high level of cleanliness that was maintained throughout our stay.

The grounds and facilities were outstanding ~ a little haven of tranquility to soothe your soul and calm your mind after a hectic day sightseeing. And the Italian food was mouthwatering ~ the best Lasagne that I have ever tasted and my husband says the same of the Bolognaise ~ we ate there every night of our week long stay. Breakfast was good and I feel it offers ample choice for all tastes, we certainly never got bored or went hungry!

But the thing that struck us most about Boomerang was the attitude of staff and management; nothing was too much trouble and they actually went out of their way to ensure that you had everything that you needed. I couldn't get my pc to work ~ they brought in a man who could, I booked my air tickets for the wrong date ~ they phoned the airline and got them changed, I wanted to organize trips ~ they did everything for me. I was (and remain) totally amazed by the level of service across the board by each and every one of the staff ~ it made our trip.

So in short, yes ~ perfection does exist!

We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights and we found this cosy hotel to be very laid back and relaxing.
I loved the personal touch the staff provided. We had our rooms decorated with lovely flower petals as we were celebrating our anniversary. Staff remembered our names and went the extra mile when we requested for many things.
Although the rooms are fully booked most of the time, it didnt seem as if the place was crowded. Many times i could have the pool to myself.
This is the first time im feeling so much at home at a hotel.
Definitely recommend this place if you are at Phuket.

“Beautiful Resort and Great Service”
SunLover990(Vernon, B.C.)
We've stayed here at the Boomerang over 3 weeks total 2 years ago and then this visit to Thailand were most of the way through just under 4 weeks total spread between staying here and going to Railay in Krabi Province for 8 days before coming back to the Boomerang and just got back from 10 days Chiang Mai. Management were very helpful in our back and forth travels with allowing us leave a few bags here inbetween, which really helped especially flying to Chiang Mai and back because that is the main place to buy souveneirs as they are much cheaper away from the hot spot of Phuket for travellers. Our stay two years ago was great and this time even better I would say. They continue to make the resort better in all areas really. We really like the fact that it's small so it's quiet and away from the noise that you'd get in other hotels. The grounds are so beautiful and being on the edge of the Jungle makes the view away from the ocean beautiful also. We like to walk so as it's only 15 minutes or a bit more to Kata beach that's no problem for us. If your not up to the walk they provide free transportation to Kata Beach. A bit of a hill getting up to the resort but no problem for us whatsoever.

“Lovely cottages in beautiful garden on quiet hill close to the beach”

We landed in Phuket and spent 3 days waiting for our diving excursion in the Andaman Sea.

We stayed at the Boomerang Village, which commprises a some beautiful and very roomy bungalows taken care in the minimum detail, immersed in a lush and well kept tropical garden. Both Superior and Deluxe are excellent choices and good price.

Service and client orientation were both excellent.

Position was ideal for us, as far from the crowd & traffic noise, yet only a 15 mins walk from the closest beach, restaurants and shops. Nonetheless, our option was to rent a scooter from the hotel and reach some close-by beaches which are smaller and more pictoresques than Kata.

Pool is not too big, but new and very well kept. SPA service can be arranged in the room (although we didn´t try it).

We also tried food at the restaurant the night of our arrival and it was good. Price is within Phuket´s standards.

Complementary breafast is on buffet and well assorted.

One note only: since the management reached out for feedback and suggestions, we made a point in the possibility to fix mosquito nets on the main bungalows´window, in order to enable fresh air in the cottages instead of using A/C (which we personally are not big fans of). Still, room service always burn citronelle oil in a burner in the room to prevent mosquitoes. Other mosquito repellents for the air are also offered in the room.

Should rain happen, customers are provided with umbrellas.

Security guard is 24/7 at the entrance.

Wireless internet and three computers with printer are also free of charge.

Lastly, we left with a Xmas gift from the reception. What can we say, we really loved Boomerang´s offer and client orientation.

Excelelnt value for money if you opt for quiet, quality, service and attention to detail.

We spent 5 nights in this beautiful paradise. The photos on their website do not lie! Yes it is out of the town (10 minutes walk) but it is such a peaceful place to stay and the views are amazing. The rooms are exactly as they apear on their brochure so what you see is what you get! The restaurant has excellent food and is well priced so you could eat here all the time if you wished, the only complaint I have about breakfast is that I would have liked to have some muesli available (but that's just my preference). The pool is beautiful and clean and has lovely soft music playing so it is very relaxing.
It is a perfect place to chill out and unwind.
The taxi from here is excellent value and it is worth booking for transfers to and from the airport.

Stayed here for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer! The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for you. We are staying at the Boomerang Hotel, so the restaurant is right out our front door, though it is well worth the ride uphill for anyone who is not a guest at the hotel.

The restaurant is gorgeous, from the lush drapings to the candles and Thai art everywhere. The owner seems to pretty much always be in or around the restaurant, checking with everyone to make sure all is well... always a good sign. He is Italian, and the menu is split Italian and Thai. My husband ordered the Hawaiian pizza, which was very good, really an authentic Italian-style pizza. The crust was thin and crispy and the flavor had a nice kick to it. I ordered a red curry with pork and it was excellent, very good spice and rich flavor. The fruit shakes and cocktails are fresh and cooling. The staff is very friendly and attentive, you don't have to wait for anything. Dessert for us was a coconut sundae, delicious! The prices are also very reasonable, you would expect them to be much higher in such a classy place. It's casual fine dining, shorts and t-shirt are ok, but it's romantic and has wonderful ambience. It's not a big place, so reservations might be a good idea during the regular high season, but we had the place almost to ourselves.

One word of advice- The large menu includes a number of fresh seafood items that need to be ordered ahead of time, the morning before your dinner. I'm assuming this allows them to get the freshest seafood and prepare it for you personally. Read the menu ahead of time so you don't miss out. http://www.phuket-boomerang.com/en/restaurant.html.

“Excellent boutique hotel!”
Adam M(Dubai, United Arab Emirates)
It all begun when we were picked up on time at the airport and chauffered to the hotel in a very clean and comfortable car. And so begun a flawless few days from start to finish...

We checked in late and there was a lovely lady who had waited for us beyond her shift with a big smile to help us feel settled and comfortable. We checked into our room (Garden Suite) and it was very large and spacious. The room was spotlessly clean, there were flowers scattered on the bed, along with specially folded towels in the shape of swans. The bathroom was fairly large, very clean and I liked the small attention to detail that the hotel had taken into making the room pleasant - for example the blue floor lights in the shower.

The hotel is not on the beach and requires a 5 minute car ride. However, the hotel offers a free day time shuttle service and I was suprised that this wasn't based on a timetable, but they kindly took you to and from the beach whenever you liked! The staff here always offer a welcoming smile and cannot do enough for you. One day I had requested a moped rental and it had not arrived. I was slightly frustrated because I had been waiting for a fair while and I couldn't believe it when the lovely lady behind reception offered to give me her own personal moped for the day (we didn't take her up on this, but the gesture was appreciated!)

Breakfast was adequate (not high end luxury - concentrate juices and average sausages, etc) but perfectly acceptable. Staff were excellent espcecially NItchanun and Giame! Not a beach resort (and we love the beach) but who cares when you have a shuttle service whenever you like and the hotel has a private area on the beach that you can use (they have a modest sunbed charge to help cover costs, but nothing extraordinary).

To summarise - excellent staff, spotlessly clean, peaceful, very comfortable beds, great boutique hotel.

Room Tip: Not a room tip but a good tip is I would recommend the hotel's transport (particularly for airport pick ups/drops). It is the same price as taxi's (perhaps even cheaper) and the cars are much nicer.

“Loved it - will definitely be back again!”
CharlieW1985(Manchester, United Kingdom)
We got picked up from the Airport by the hotel which was a little crazy as there are hundreds of Taxis everywhere, but once we found our driver we were taken in a lovely car across the island to the hotel, approx 45 minutes from the hotel (dependent on the weather!) but once we arrived it was totally worth the car trip. We received a welcome drink and a comprehensive overview of how to use the facilities and details for breakfast. We were then taken to our room where we were shown how all the facilities worked and left to settle in. The room was amazing, really good size with 4 poster bed, and most importantly air-con!
They helped us organise trips and were really efficient during breakfast and we received excellent service during our evening meals - they will even do room service!
We took the free shuttle the hotel offers down the beach which was fantastic and made our own way back to explore.
The people cannot do enough for you and I would highly recommend any traveller to stay at this resort who is seeking a relaxing holiday getaway.

Thankyou for an amazing trip - especially Arty - you helped sort everything out without us having to worry at all!

Room Tip: If you ask for a pool suite room 116 is definitely the best option - it is up a floor so those around the pool cannot see in your room, but it still gives a lovely view of the pool and an amazing view out to Kata Beach Coast which is beautiful.

We were so impressed with the service from Boomerang from start to finish during or 10 day stay. We were collected by the resort by a gentleman dressed in shirt and tie and welcomed to the resort with lovely cool drinks on arrival. We were very impressed with the qaulity of both service and the ammenities which we received during our stay - nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere of the resort was extremely relaxing and because of the smaller boutique size of the grounds, made us feel like it was a paradise of our very own. We would highly recommend the resort to any-one seeking a relaxing holiday getaway.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Originally for 2 but liked it so much we stayed and extra night. The staff were so friendly and helpfully. The food was good and the pool was great. I was originally worried it wasn't close to the beach but they have free shuttles. Although once we were there we didn't feel the need to leave. We were very impressed from start to finish with our stay at Boomerang Village! Loved the juice and cold towels that were served to us on arrival at reception. We booked a pool suite room and it was even better in real life than the photos we had seen previously. The room was decorated with little flowers everywhere and the bed had a swan made out of towels which was another lovely touch. The bed had a pillow-top and was so comfy.
We found the level of service from staff to be excellent they were always checking to see if we needed anything extra or offering umbrellas in the rain!
We are in the restaurant many times during our weeks stay and we really enjoyed the food, there's lots of choice too, only issue we had was that it always seemed to take very long to pay the bill, probably should have put it on our room account instead!
They offer a free shuttle to the beach which is great and they also have a special deal on the sun-loungers so make sure you buy it at reception before you go. Taxi-service is available and rates seemed very reasonable and there was always someone available to take us wherever we wanted to go immediately. Can be difficult sometimes to find a driver to bring you home but they do give you a card when you check in which has the hotel name written on it in Thai so it is handy to have this with you.
We loved the little outdoor office area with the computers and I believe they also had free wifi in the rooms too.
It was very quiet and relaxing and the pool was just perfect too!

“Lovely Stay !”
Petals888(Discovery Bay)
We had 3 nights stay at the hotel which was by far the best we had for our many many trips to Phuket. It's up on a hill and once you are there you feel so relaxed and tranquil. We have reserved a garden suite in the beginning but found the path to the room a bit rough for me. We would like to change to the pool suite which was not available for our period. The Manager Ms Suchada was so understanding and helpful that she recommended us to stay at another hotel near the beach but it was nothing as compared to Boomerang. We stayed for 2 nights but decided to go back to Boomerang although what they have available is the Superior Room. As there are some renovations work going on in the hotel which actually does not make any noise or disturbance to the guests, we have 30% off for the room rates. The resort is never crowded and you can have the pool all to yourself. The room is spacious and nicely decorated in traditional Thai. Buffet breakfast is good . We had dinner 2 nights at the resort and the food was perfect., especially the baked mussels with spinach and cheese. It so happened it was my birthday and they baked me a lovely birthday cake. All the staff and so helpful and always with a smile. The free shuttle to/pick up Kata Beach is another plus and taxi can also be arranged at a fairly reasonable price. Many thanks to Paolo, Suchada, Kim and all the staff of Boomrang that make our stay a memorable one. We will definitely come back.

Our family of 3 stayed for 10 days at eh Boomerang Resort. We found it to be a friendly, relaxed and helpful place. We were able to organize pick up from the airport even though our flight came in quite late and drop off for our return journey home too. The taxis were competatively priced and we used them several times during our stay. Apart from that we utilised the scooters and hired one for each us for 8 days for 250Baht a day plus fuel. This meant we could chose to go out whenever we like and we could visit the beach and restaurants at Kata, Kata Noi and Patong when we liked. The rooms were clean and spacious with air conditioning and set apart so there was very little noise and had relaxing deck chairs at oour front door overlooking the bay. The meals were nice and the staf friendly and helpful. Can't fault it really. There is a steep drive going up to the resort and it is set about 15 minutes walk from Kata Beach but with your own scooter you are more mobile.

We took the Honeymoon package, thus there was airport transfer, romantic dinner for 2, spa package, oil massage in room and Phi-phi Island excursion included in the package. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, its secluded and you can find serenity here. Love the resort, the friendly assistants from all the staffs. The only thing is the hotel is far away from Kata Beach (15mins walk), but there was free transfer to the beach. Food in Cafe de-Sol was good, they served Thai food and Italian food. Love the romantic dinner served- Crab Pasta, oyster, king prawns - very generous portion and it was delicious! Overall, we enjoy our honeymoon stay here!

“The most thoughtful place under 5 stars... anywhere.”
SuitcasedSoul(Yangon (Rangoon))
My wife and I are 32 and 28, live in the Monsoon of Myanmar + we stayed at Boom last weekend for 4 days ... These are the facts which you need to know if you're in our boat or our frame of mind:

- the airport pickup is essential, a very fair price (25$/800 baht), and in a nice ride.
- Boomerang is a 25 leisurely minute walk from the beach; 5-6 mins by moped.
- the beach (Kata Yai beach) has nearly 1,000 sunbeds, massages, drinks, etc. No need to show up before 11am to get a lounger. There's a smaller beach 1km to the South called Kata Noi (Noi means small), which is even quieter, a tad more secluded, and well worth checking out.
- there are shops everywhere (touristy, mini-tesco, banks, pharmacies, yada yada) b/n Boom and beach.
- rent a moped. if you don't know how to drive one, learn. It's a heavier, less wobblier bicyle. Give 'er.
- Boomerang offers fair prices (we looked around) for tours, taxis (up to 40% cheaper).
- the restaurant is SuPerB (20 spinach and cheese mussels for 200baht?! bow to the sea).
- absolutely no pressure from the mgmt or the staff to buy, do, spend anything. They just aren't like that.
- the pool is as perfect as possible for the size, with hints of grace and buddhism all around.
- the pool side massages and spa options are solid and very well priced.
- Internet station (2 computers, printing, scanning, 1 ipad) is intuitive and tranquil. Imagine printing a boarding pass in a an open living room with a breeze. Hm hmm.
- you feel like a low-fuss guest in someone's relaxed, insightful, and colorful home.
- the breakfasts are substantial, varied, and more than decent.
- the attention to detail is impeccable and evident everywhere.
- it's very very clean - again, everywhere.
- there's a DVD player in the room with approx 5 English channels, old school TV (they'll need to get on the plazma train soon).
- there's a hill; but get over it, Pumpkin.
- I don't think there are bathtubs (we stayed in a Deluxe).
- this one of the most thoughtful places you will ever stay.
- best value for money we may have ever spent on accommodation anywhere (check my profile to see the myriad of places we stay).

Top props all around, will trumpet and recommend this high from a mountain top - even if I need to take my moped to the top to do so.

Room Tip: Suites by the pool are prime, though all places seem solid.

We stayed at Boomerang on transit to Phi Phi. The service from the staff was excellent. We were met at the airport by the hotel driver and driven to the hotel in an excellent car.

We stayed in a room near the pool. It was perfect. We would definitely recommend. A great pool plus you can hire scooters from the hotel. Wear the helmet, I didnt and got a small fine but they took my licence and I had to pay the $10 fine to get it back This took me over an hour to do!

“Perfect location if you want a get away from the crowd at Patong”
ChristopherSim(ChristopherSim)
We had a 3 days 2 nights stay over here in July. It was a 40 mins drive away from the airport. Check in was smooth despite us being early. Room was great with a nice view. Our deluxe room was on the very top of the hill. You could get a superior room which is at the bottom which will be near to the pool. WIFI is free throughout the resort with a small corner with 2 PCs and 1 IPad for you to do your work if necessary. We printed out our online check-in through the PC as a printer was attached to it. All these come at no extra cost.

We had our lunch and dinner at the restaurant on the first night. Food was great with price being the same as having it in a normal restaurant back in Singapore. Feeder bus to Kata was actually a saloon car with the return timing of 6 slightly early for our liking.

This place will be great for a couple getaway at Kata beach which will be a 5 min drive away by the hotel feeder bus. If you are going back late, remember not to pay more than 200 bahts for the tuk tuk. Riding a bike might be quite tricky considering the high slope up the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. Staff was very friendly and I would recommend this place for couples who just want to have some time of their own away from the crowd.

“Great stay at the Boomerang”
LeoMich(New York City, New York)
For our honeymoon, my wife and I ventured off to Thailand because we wanted the beach scene and a bit of a culture shock....bringing us to Phuket. Using trip advisor reviews, we decided on boomerang because the price is right and its not on the main streets. There are so many things right with hotel but I'll only give you 10...
1- location...not too far from kata beach at all, short ride to Patong, close to Big Buddha
2- the staff is wonderful and they always look to go above and beyond.
3- Very affordable for the price. July is about $45 - $50 a night for a Superior Room (which is more than enough)
4- Room is small but like I said, thats all you need.
5- Motorbike renting on premises (200 baht per day)
6- nothing special about breakfast but it gets your day going right and its free...cant complain.
7- all trips and activities can be booked through the hotel.
8- there aren't too many rooms the resort is NEVER crowded. The pool is just the right size for the amount of guests. Given that this is our honeymoon, this is a big plus for us.
9 - Thai massages poolside are awesome.
10 - SAFE - We felt very safe in this hotel the whole time.

CONS:
- nothing much really. A few bugs here and there. Also, I read people are complaining about the hill. Either rent a scooter or get some exercise...it isn't that bad. They messed up on my taxi pick-up from Phantasea show, but it's ok, mistakes happen and they refunded me no problem.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a getaway but still close to the city.

“Better than the Best”
MengSeng(Macau, China)
This is the best choice in our trip. We (my wife, two boys and I) spent 12 days in Thailand and visited Krabi (Ao Nang), Bangkok and Phuket. We stayed 3 nights in Boomerang. When we reached the resort, we believed that we made the right choice. The resort is very charming and unique. The room is big enough for my family. The décor inside and outside is fantastic. The landscape is amazing and clean. The resort can assure the privacy of each room. From our room, we can have a great panoramic view. All cheerful staff is friendly and helpful. Another amazing point for us is that there is no mosquito.
Since we rent a car, we encountered no transport problem in staying here. It spends only three minutes drive from the resort to Kata Beach.
A little episode can show how serious Boomerang care about their guests. In the last night we stayed in Boomerang, my room’s air-con was out of order suddenly at around 2am. I went to the reception but the office was closed. I asked the doorman but he didn’t know English. I felt hopeless at that moment. However, the man was eager to help me and we communicated in some body language. He can understand my problem and called to the Manager. The Manager drove his motor and arrived at the resort in a few minutes. After the manager clarified the problem, he carried my boy’s heavy mattress and moved us to another room immediately. At that moment, I gave him full mark. The most important is that he came back and solved the problem in time and he can show me that he cares his guests. I can feel that the Boomerang team operates the resort by heart.
Moreover, thank for the small gifts (2 lovely bears) to my two boys and they like them very much.
However, I still have one suggestion, the resort should send its information to the main GPS navigator software companies. We drove by ourselves under the “iGo” but the “iGo” showed no information of Boomerang. I needed to locate it by myself and it was not an easy job definitely.

“Lovely Resort. Quiet, huge rooms, great for couples”
GosfordMoo(Sydney, Australia)
Stayed here recently on my first visit to Phuket. I really don't know the area that well, but I am glad that I picked this place. I paid about $50 a night, inc breakfast, that being the off season rate.
I arranged for the hotel transfer both ways (800 Baht each way) and i would od that again. makes the travel from the airport, 40 minutes, so much easier.

Situated on a hillside with distant views of the Kata beach water area. The resort is quiet and privacy is assured. We took the garden villa. The room was huge, with a wonderful bed, good air-con, bathroom, verandah at the front u can sit at night if u wanted to, mosquito coils in room.

There is a swimming pool , not large, but more than adequate for the size of the resort. The resort itself is not large and this is one of its charms and attractions. Free internet and free computers to use (three).

We rented a motorcycle through the resort, and they also arranged a car rental for us. I recommend both via the hotel. The rates were fine and the convenience factor excellent. Staff were friendly and not obtrusive. Breakfast area is lovely, terrific design and perfect for the morning. The range of buffet was not huge, but it was more than adequate and always tasty.

This is a good base if you want to stay in kata and want some privacy. Close to Patong, Karon etc.. id stay here again next time

Room Tip: Ask for the garden villa

“Wished we could have stayed longer!”
YoGos(San Francisco, California)
We arrive bleary eyed into Boomerang Village's reception office at 12 midnight and were pleasantly surprised by the welcome drinks and friendly manner we were shown our rooms. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. There were 17 in our party, including 9 children ages 6 - 15. The resort was able to accommodate all of us by adding bunk beds to our rooms.

What I will miss most is the delicious breakfast served every morning! There was a good assortment of foods as well as a made-to-order egg station. The ambiance of Cafe del Sol is incredible: beautiful views, zen music, Thai style motif, and friendly service.

The swimming pool and pool area were well maintained. Very inexpensive and good Thai massages can be arranged through the hotel and can take place in the comforts of your room.

The staff was always friendly, helpful and patient. We had many questions about arranging activities, taxis, exchanging money, etc. and they made sure to take the time to answer them. They made our stay in Phuket very, very pleasant.

Things to do:

The Elephant Trek booked through the hotel was a huge hit with the kids. (People will try to sell you pictures of your group on all the activities you attend, and prices can be bargained pretty low if you purchase several.) We spent one afternoon at Kata Beach and one at Nai Harn beach further south. Nai Harn beach was the big winner. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! A must go. The Expo in Phuket Town is a great place to shop for clothes, shoes, trinkets, etc. It is a cleaner, more organized version of the night market.

The most difficult part of being in the Kata area (not sure if other areas are better) is the transportation. Public transportation is not very accessible and taxis to all the different activities (even just to go shopping) can really add up. It's worth the stay there, though, to be closer to Nai Harn beach!!!! If you are fine just staying local, it's an easy walk down the hill from Boomerang into Kata town for fruit, food, massages, tours, banks, and Kata beach.

“Perfect Jewel.”

To be truly honest this would be the best short getaway the both of us had in time to come. These would be the few reasons why. Boomerang is tucked in the hills of Kata with lush greenery like a secret oasis. The deluxe cottage given to us (or rather almost all the cottages) had such a great panoramic view of the gorgeous Andaman sea and the Kata town at night. We particularly love the moment right when we both have had our night shower and are sitting quietly with our hot cups of tea listening to the waves crashing and rolling gently. This, I believe had to be the most awesome sound, together with the cool salty sea air blowing around our hair and rustling leaves! Lovely! The whole resort is pebble lined and the steps are aligned with the prettiest teak handles and 1960s lanterns. The décor continues into the Buddha-Thai inspired room décor with dark furniture, a fully stocked bar and lovely clean bathroom. Upon arrival, we noticed right off the lovely clean sheets, freshly picked orchids as decorations and the tang of the refreshing aromatherapy burning. I would have to say I loved getting our rooms cleaned because the staff would stock our aroma oils up and coming back from a long day in Kata centre to a cool, tang scented room is a lovely pleasure. The rooms and surrounding areas are cleaned daily by the most cheerful staff that would patiently concede to all our requests for extra towels or bottles of water. I would have to say that they are most hardworking cleaning staff I’ve ever seen in any country. Once when my friend was still asleep and I was out at the balcony with my morning coffee and paper, the cleaning staff came up twice to ask me if we wanted our rooms cleaned. They climbed the steep steps just to provide their services. When declined, the receptionist called to confirm that we do not need the cleaning services. Such immaculate services are hard to come by. Taxi services offered by the hotel was wonderful since it cost half of what the tuk tuk or taxi services outside would charge. We would have tried to conquer the steep hill on the way up each day but it proves too much for us even as fit as we are. Once the good-natured owner Mr Basso fetched us from a restaurant and we had a jovial time teasing and chatting with him on the way up. Besides that they also provide rental for bikes at 200baht per day that beats those around the Kata centre that charges by the hour. We also found the breakfast provided by the resort to be wonderful! In particular the pancakes. With butter or jam this would be one of the best pancakes I've ever had ever. Once the pancakes was out due to its popularity in the morning and the chef upon seeing my crestfallen face offered to make some and a couple of omelettes for me and my friend. Needless to say we were thrilled! The resort is a mere 15 minutes away from the beach and 10 mins away from supermarkets like tesco, 7-11, many restaurants and other shops. My friend and I had a ball of our time reading, drawing and relaxing by the beach then going for a massage and a good meal before returning to our oasis. ☺ We would like to thank all the wonderful, hardworking staff, in particular, Mr O, Nit and Tee for the immaculate services where many a times they’ve raced to our rooms to help us with anything we’ve had trouble with. From finding the three point adaptor plug for our electronics to the television cable problems due to the strong wind condition, ir-regardless if it was night or day. Oh! And a word of advice! If you decide to stay in Kata please load on the mosquito repellent. The really vicious ones attacks when the sun goes down. Thank goodness for the incense provided by the hotel staff. Thank you for the lovely memories! We would definitely be back soon <3 Here's to a prosperous future for Boomerang :) Ps: Apologies for the book I've written. Room Tip: Ask for those in midhill. “Tranquil, beautiful little bit of paradise”
Grant & Nina(Ayr, United Kingdom)
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 7nights after reading all the great reviews and I can genuinely tell you it was better than we had hoped it would be. We met the owner Paulo after he stopped to give us a lift back from the beach and he described the village as a little bit of everything he loves. This can be seen in the detail, with sculpted exotic trees, pebble lined paths that lead to charming cottages. There are water features everywhere, and at night time the whole place lights up to be quite literally one of the most romantic places we've been too. We stayed in the deluxe room with the four poster bed and I think we're now hoping to do up our room in the same way. The entire village was spotless, with staff cleaning everything, everywhere all the time. The menu for the restaurant is huge, which usually suggests mediocre food, but it too was out out of this world. The stone baked pizzas were a hit, but the seafood is mouthwatering. I had the lobster, which tasted as impressive as it looked. All in all, we will definitely be returning here at some point. We will always recommend this place to anyone travelling to phuket. The beach is a short 10min walk, which passes all the shops anyway, but the taxi service is great from the hotel and free!.
We loved this place and will always stay here when returning to Phuket. Before i forgot, the staff were great too. :-)

Cafe del Sol Italian/Thai restaurant “Excellent Thai food with excellent service”
6monthsout(Sydney, Australia)
This restaurant serves excellent Thai food. My husband ordered the sweet and sour which was one of the best we had in Thailand. The Italian food was good but I'd recommend ordering the Thai food as it was so much better. Don't be put off by the fact that the hotel is up a hill just outside the main streets of Kata - the hotel arranged a car to take us back to our hotel for free and gave us a thank you gift. Best service we have ever received from a restaurant!

Boomerang Village restaurant is the best dinner i eat at phuket.....really, if you love tom yam soup, then try at Boomerang Village restaurant.

finally what i can say is, i love Boomerang Village, sure wil back again!
“An oasis of calm and tranquility - loved it!”
Slapnmickle(North Yorkshire)
We stayed at Boomerang Village after meeting up with my daughter who is travelling. Our welcome was fantastic - we were seated in air conditioned reception and given fruit juice and iced towels on arrival - perfect in the 34 degree heat. We were very soon shown to our rooms, cases carried up for us and were very impressed with our rooms. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay, down to toothbrushes, dressing gowns and even mosquito rings to burn at night.

The food was very good and plentiful, lots of choice at breakfast and a reasonable menu for evening meal if you wished to stay in.

Boomerang is about a mile from the sea which at first was a little disappointing however they provide a shuttle service regularly to the beach so it proved not to be a problem. It also meant that we were away from the noise and hustle and bustle ensuring a peaceful nights rest.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I would definately recommend anyone to stay here unless you particularly want a sea view.
“Perfect place for rest and relaxation”
judelivo(Gold Coast. Australia)
My Husband and I have just spent 3 wonderful weeks at Boomerang Village. We found the staff very courteous, happy and helpful, even if communication was at times a little difficult. We had a Pool Suite which was incredible value for money. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated with authentic Thai decor, and had both fans and airconditioning. The gardens set the ambience of Boomerang Village, particularly at night when it is lit up like fairyland, and the view to Kata at sunset is awesome. We used the restaurant on a number of occasions and found the meals to be very good value. "The Hill" provides good exercise, but is certainly not prohibitive. We hired a scooter from BV for the 3 weeks (daring for a couple of oldies!), which gave us total independence. We covered the whole Island this way and found great little beaches and eating places that even the locals rarely go to.
We are returning to Phuket later this year and have no hesitation in rebooking with Boomerang Village where you can be assured of a holiday of complete rest and relaxation.

Thank to all Boomerang staffs, we have felt really happy when we stayed there.

Your room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious and staffs were friendly and helpful. I got many thailand information from them and tried something on your recommends. Really good.!

I will come back soon in this year for our Christmas. Thank you so much and I also recommend this resort to my friends

We chose to stay in this hotel after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and were NOT dissapointed. The hotel is beautiful, staff are friendly, and it's set far enough back from the bars and touristy shops to make it peaceful - yet you can walk to the beach and shops in 20 minutes.
We chose to eat at the restaurant most nights as the food is great - Italian and Thai with over a hundred different choices.
We jumped in a cab at the airport and were charged 1200b - but the hotel charges 800b - so much better value.
We loved our holiday at Boomerang and would definately go back!
“Paradise”
Rainbow107(Stafford, United Kingdom)
The hotel was in a tropical paradise, very beautiful! We were amazed to see how pretty it was and so were other travellers who were on the coaches picking us up for trips. I would say this hotel is ideal for couples that want a relaxing time in peaceful surroundings. If you are looking for a central hotel in the heart of Phuket then this is not for you but if you are looking for somewhere to escape to this is it.
Our room was brilliant so beautiful and clean the maids were great!
Only problem we had was trying to get hold of room service was impossible but that didn't affect our holiday!
Would I go back? Yes and I would take my partner next time.
“Ottimo alloggio a Phuket!”

“Fantastic setting, wonderful rooms”
Cassell28(Singapore)
This really is the best hotel in Phuket. It's quiet, in a beatiful jungle setting 10 minutes walk from Kata/Karon beach. The rooms were fantastic and each its own private bungalow. We only got the most basic option as all others fully booked, but basic it certainly isn't. The decor is very authentic without being overbearing and is a very relaxing with a well stocked mini bar and very cheap (60 baht for a beer).

Yes the hotel is located up a hill, which may be an issue if you have problems walking. For most people however if you want to get away this is definately the place to stay.
“An oasis at Kata Beach”
Rickbarrett(Perth, Australia)
Despite it's name, Boomerang Village was 100% Thai. A delightful place to stay, a little uphill from Kata Beach with a great view across the township towards the sea.
Set in a delightful garden, with great facilities and friendly staff, our five days here were a delight after dry and dusty India.
The thai food on offer at the open air restaurant was fantastic, as were the cocktails (even better at Happy Hour from 4-5pm each day).
“Great Small Hotel”
linmikga(Villa Rica, Georgia)
We stayed at Boomerang Village for 7 nights from February 26 to March 5, 2011. We arranged with the hotel for airport pickup and return for 800 baht (about $25 US) each way. The hotel is in Kata about 45 minutes from the airport. Our reservations were made through a third-party agency, but we confirmed directly with the hotel prior to leaving home and to arrange for the airport pickup. At check-in we were given a welcome drink and cool towel. We paid for the room and one-way transport at that time. Our superior garden room had a king size bed, bath with shower, safe, soap, shampoo, etc. The room was of good size with plenty of room to move around. Free wifi was available in the room and there were computers with printers available in the business center. There was also a book exchange in the library. Prior reviews of this hotel complained about the shower drain in the middle of the bathroom. It was better than some I have seen in Asia with a shower curtain to protect the rest of the bathroom from spray. Daily housekeeping was good. The hotel is on a hill and it is a reasonably easy walk to Kata Town and Kata Beach. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle throughout the day to and from town and the beach. There is a daily happy hour from 4 to 5. Breakfast buffet is included in the rate and has a cook station for eggs and omelets, lots of hot and cold options, cereal, breads and cakes, tea, coffee and juice. The pool is very refreshing, but depending on how many guests, there were often no loungers available. We ate in the restaurant several times for dinner and tried several dishes. Most dishes were very good and at a reasonable price. All of the employees were very pleasant. Although some did not speak excellent English, I don’t know any Thai and after all I am a visitor in their country. We were able to communicate anything we needed with very little difficulty. There were no surprises at checkout. The bill was correct for all food, beverages and return transport was there on time for our return to the airport. We stayed at Boomerang Village in the second week of a 7-week trip in Asia. As independent travelers we researched all hotels and made all of our arrangements after considering reviews on TripAdvisor and other sites. We were not disappointed and I would recommend this hotel.

“Paradise at Kata Beach”
Hillman68(Orkanger, Norway)
After trying Mauritius 3 times the last 5 years, the familiy decided that we should maybe try Thailand this time around. After a lot of searching on the internet, our choice fell on Kata and Boomerang Village (thanks to Trip Advisor), and that turned out to be the perfect choice.

The welcome we got from the management after a 24 hour journey from freezing cold Norway was absolutely amazing and even though we were a bit early for check in, our luggage was taken care of and we got transported down to Kata free of charge. When we got back (nice 20 min walk from the beach), we were greeted by a gorgeous huge suite with a lovely incense, bed covered with flowers and towels folded like swans; needless to say that we were overwhelmed. My only comment is that the pillows were a bit to hard for my liking, but that's a minor detail

See a lot of reviewers comment the distance to Kata Beach as a drawback; for us it was quite the opposite, and was a very welcome quiet spot "far away" from Kata which we experienced as crowded and not that charming

To cut a long story short; if you want to find a small place of heaven to relax in a otherwise a bit chaotic Kata, this is definetely the place to be. I have visited numerous hotels around the globe, but the tranquility and level of service at this establishment was quite frankly beyond anything I have ever encountered. Just imagine the luxury of having a thai massage (Boomerang has a highly skilled masseur) 20 meters from your suite at a price that is unbelievable; remarkable

Dinner was generally eaten at Cafe de Sol. We really did try other restaurants, but since the food at Cafe de Sol was fantastic, the service flawless, prices reasonable, you've got Kata's best view and it's only 30 seconds from your suite, why bother using precious time looking for alternatives.

Thank You to Paolo, Aon and all the others employees at Boomerang for making our 3 weeks stay a memory to be saved. I can recommend Boomerang in a heartbeat, and we are so happy that there are still such places to be found. Take my word; whatever your business is in Kata, you can't go wrong booking Boomerang.

We will be back very soon :-)
“Absolute Bliss!!”
Emma & Joe(Carlisle, United Kingdom)
Myslef and my partner went on our second holiday to phuket in September and loved Kata so wanted to stay closer to it this time around. I just wouldnt go back in September as the weather was a bit hit or miss! When arriving at the hotel the staff could not have been more helpful, the hotel is only small and broken up into different blocks but this makes it so much more personal and you get to know the staff. We stayed in the suite room overlooking the pool, its a huge room with a lovely bathroom and a balcony with views over the pool and the sea. The breakfasts were very nice, there could have been more variety but everything was freshly made. We didnt eat tea in the restaurant at night as there are so many restaurnts to chose from down in the town but i will recommend the ice cream sundays at the hotel-AMAZING! There is also a selection of DVDs to chose from in all languages for those nights you just fancy relaxing. The hotel hire out scooters for a very good rate so i would recommend getting one, and they are a huge help for getting around. The hill upto the hotel is nothing either, you can bomb up and down on the scooter so quick you stop thinking about it. The hotel is ideally situated for everything so i would travel about and see as much as you can! We loved it, definately not a 3* its so much better!! We would definately go back it really is a beautiful place to stay.
Thank you Boomerang :-)

southamptonbythesea(Southampton, Canada)
My Wife and I spent 10 days here during our 2 month stay in SE Asia and it was the nicest place we stayed at by far. The name may sound a little hokey but this place is owned and operated by Italians who really understand how to treat their guests. The staff wait on you hand and foot and treat you like family. There are only 20 rooms and they are fabulous! Don't get a massage at the beach, the hotel masseuse is a real professional. The restaurant food is fabulous as is the service. The one downside, and its a small one, is the walk to the beach is a wee bit far but they make up for it with free shuttles or cheap scooter rentals. Phuket can be noisey but this is a true oasis away from all the hustle and bustle. Stay here, you will love it:)

“WOW - A simply magical experience in an ever soooo friendly exotic paradise! :-).....”
SYElaine('Boro UK)
I'd spotted Boomerang Village on TA around a year ago & it was love @ 1st sight - from the photos it looked ever so beautiful, with a fantastic unique pool & beautiful gardens, with swiss style cottages, furnished to a very high standard in a traditional thai style, i simply had to holiday there, so myself & my partner booked it & saved up for a year (If you're gonna have a dream holiday, you've gotta make sure it's properly funded right!) & looked longingly @ the photos & perfect reviews of the place, as the months ticked by......Well all i can say is after holidaying there is - the place far far exceeded my expectations, it's definitely different to your average holiday resort, BUT in a good way, it's really smart BUT also quiet & has an exclusive feel, perched up on a hillside in Kata, not an overly commercial venture, but one where you can see an awful lot of planning & effort has gone into creating a retreat that's guaranteed to give you a magical experience & it definitely delivers! One thing i wasn't prepared for was the warmth & friendliness of the Thai people themselves, far more genuinely friendly than any other race of people i've ever met, especially the staff @ BV who are magnificent, nothing was too much trouble & you were always greeted with a smile off everyone, we had a problem with our shower & safe while we were there & both times it was sorted out immediately with no fuss, as for Phuket itself, being a native of England - It's sooo sooo hot, BUT ever so beautiful & we did a pretty good job of checking it out over two weeks, i'd recommend anyone to holiday there & especially in Kata as it's nicer than the commercial Patong & within striking distance if that's your thing, as for Boomerang Village - The secret's definitely out, it fully deserves it's ratings on TA & other sites, i suppose it''ll get ever more popular as a result, hopefully not so popular that i wont be able to make a reservation should i return to Thailand, i'd go back in a heartbeat, BUT want to see a bit more of the world 1st, so i couldn't say i'll definitely be back next yr, maybe the yr after! ;-).......Just one more thing - Thank you to all @ BV for a magical experience @ your heavenly retreat, one we'll never forget! :-) xSY & Elaine
“Perfect small hotel with an equally awesome restaurant”
IainWaugh(Bristol, United Kingdom)
We stayed at Boomerang Village for a week at the start of our round the world adventure and would stay there again without a doubt. The hotel is in Kata which from our admittedly limited experience of Phuket is the best spot to stay - a gorgeous beach, lots of restaurants and bars but without the noise and hassles of Patong.

BV is beautifully landscaped, with lush gardens surrounding the bungalows and a pretty pool area with a view of Kata town out to the sea. The rooms themselves are neat, attractive and clean with large beds. We had a suite for a few nights which was a good step up from the standard bungalows and probably worth the extra if you have it spare. There is a massage service as well which is great value.

Now although BV is up on the hill, so a good 15 mins walk to the beach, the hotel will drop you at the beach at any time up until 2pm and then pick you up at either 4pm or 5.30pm. Also, there are a number of shops, bars and restaurants within a 5 min walk. So you get the best of both worlds - a cheaper hotel due to not being beach-side, and practically instant beach when you want it.

The best thing about BV though is the restaurant. The gentleman who runs the hotel is Italian and his home country's culinary ability has been transferred to the kitchen. We had various Italian (pizza, penne arabiata, lasagne) and Thai dishes and all were nothing short of excellent - better than anything we ate elsewhere during our stay (although the crispy fried fish at the cliff top restaurant on the right hand side of the beach was amazing too..). Plus it is great value and the staff are friendly and attentive. There is genuinely no need to go elsewhere to eat!

We stayed here for our honeymoon, had chosen Boomerang Village based on the various very good ratings in the web. We were treated very very nicely by all the staff members. I did not have the impression that this had anything to do with our honeymoon, generally everybody was treated well, friendly and quite professionally. The restaurant is of very good quality, a mix of Italian/ Thai (The chef is italian). The breakfast buffet was very nice also, service even ham and italian salami as well as cappucino etc.
Rooms were very nice, clean and spacious.
Pool area was nice.

“Excellent service, very peaceful and very friendly!”
Tunelblanco(Los Angeles, California)
The rooms are very clean, well taking care of, the place is really peaceful, and everybody there make you feel at home! The personnel is always there to help you and they care for you; they never make you feel like you are in a hotel with no personal interest on who you are! Everybody there is VERY friendly and they REALLY care for you! Every time that I remember my stay in Phuket I remember with all my heart the beautiful moments that I spend at Boomerang Village. I send all my greetings to everybody there; to the personnel at the main desk, to the personnel at the restaurant, all the way to the officer that gives you a military salute every time that he sees you at night, beautiful place to stay in Phuket!

“Peaceful Hidden Paradise on the Hill !”
Ismo56(Helsinki)
I spent 15 nights (18.12.2010 - 2.1.2011) in Boomerang Village with my 3 children that are 23, 20 and 10 years old. We had two suites just beside the pool. This was our first trip to Thailand, and absolutely not our last. If we ever come back to Kata, we sure know, where to stay.
I found Boomerang by reading TripAdvisor, as usually, and then checking their internetpages. I made our reservation in January 2010, because the place is small (about 20 rooms) and seemed to be something to see and experience.
As we arrived to Phuket Airport, a minivan was waiting for us with a paper that had our name on it, as agreed with Boomerang. We were quite tired when arriving at Boomerang, but in spite of that the beauty of this Paradise shocked ! We had never experienced such a nice and lovely place. We ate there almost every morning, and also had our dinner/supper quite often. Food was good at Café del Sol Italian & Thai restaurant.
We enjoyed Thaimassages at the poolarea, sunbathed, and just relaxed in the area. Boomerang staff was superfriendly, and also arranged many trips. Just go to the reception, and ask for something, and you got it !!!
Rooms were big enough, roomservice best sofar, and what was important to me, their WLAN network worked very well, so that I could easily surf internet, read my email, reconfim our flights, and also use pcAnywhere for remote work. The beautiful outside "office" also had a computer that one could use for surfing.
The owner, Paolo Basso, all thanks to him, advised us on the New Year's Eve to come back at midnight from town to Boomerang to admire the fireworks from the hill. It was such an experience.
Many reviewers have commented the fact, that Kata Beach is quite far, 800 meters. We deliberately chose our hotel away from the hassle and noice, and also away from the beach. Boomerang stuff gives you taxiride to the beach, and also back free of change.
Experience this paradise, I quarantee that you don't regret !!!
“Vilket smultronställe!”
NinaSun(Finland)
"lovely place - highly recommended”

This place does not disappoint. Lovely location and food. Staff very friendly and offer a free car ride to/from Kata beach every day. Breakfast is also included within the price. Happy hour also good. Rooms were lovely and the view was fantastic. We would definately recommend it.
“Excellent hotel - couldn't ask for better!!”
curlywurly83(Wigan, United Kingdom)
My partner and I stayed in the Boomerang in November for 14 nights and we couldn't have asked for more beautiful location!!
The location is perfect for a quiet tranquil getaway but still within walking (or tuk tuk) distance to all the local amenities and beach.
The cottages are furnished to a very high standard and the whole complex has a luxury feel to it despite the very reasonable price tag!
The staff are nothing short of excellent and are very friendly and helpful.
Overall the Boomerang is a perfect getaway and we will definitely be returning for a second visit sometime in the future! Thank you to Paolo and the rest of the staff for making our stay very very pleasurable!
“Good experience!!”
Shinleei(Shinleei)
The hotel is consistent in delivering that good service which all previous reviewers raved about because I've personally experienced that during my stay there. All staff are extremely helpful and pay very much attention to details especially with regards to guests' needs. I stayed at both the superior and garden view suite, both are spendid and decor are beautiful! Will highly recommend to all!
“Excellent in every respect.”

We stayed in suite 116 from 5th Dec. to 18th. Dec.
A wonderful and memorable holiday in every respect.
Trip Adviser already has many very positive comments regarding Boomerang Village.
We will add some more.
The staff are welcoming, helpful, courteous, informative, attentive and eager to please. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
The complex, whilst on the slopes of a steep hill is beautifully laid out and intimate, with well thought out accommodation merging with tropical gardens, creating a quite wonderful setting and atmosphere.
The steep slope up to the hotel is short and eminently manageable.
The pool is more than adequate for the number of guests and has been beautifully dressed with foliage, statues, lighting and water spouts to create a most picturesque setting.
The rooms are beautifully, stylishly and comprehensively appointed. A great deal of thought has obviously gone into their designs. They all have a real “wow factor”.
Leisurely, sumptuous breakfasts are available through until 1pm.
The walk to the beach takes about 25 minutes, though a courtesy car is available both ways.
We didn’t dine at the restaurant, preferring to sample the variety of dining experiences available in Kata. Other guests old us they thoroughly enjoyed their dining experiences at the Café del Sol.
Paulo Basso has a very clear vision for his hotel. His attention to detail, style, ambience and landscaping is to be applauded.
A superb hotel in every respect.
We will surely be “repeat customers”.
Thank you to Paulo and all your staff.
“It is very romantic and good for relaxation.”

The Hotel Boomerang Village is very beautiful, specially i like its traditional look and greenery that is amazing. Rooms are so beautiful. Service of Hotel staff is very good .Location of hotel is good. It is near the Kata Beach and Karoon Beach and Patong beach also take only 15-20 minutes so we enjoyed our trip. Mostly people go out for their travel to live in calm place and enjoy to their trip so i think Boomerang Village is good option for all of them.
“Great place to stay!”
stefg1007(philadelphia, pa)
Cant say anything bad about this place. Breakfast was great, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing; they booked all our tours, massages, transfers, etc... for us. They even packed us a breakfast when our tours left early. Its about a 15-20 minute walk to Kata beach, or a 5 minute scooter ride. The price was very reasonable too. There is a hill, but nothing that cant be managed. Would stay again without hesitation.
“Excellent! Value for money!”

I stayed in the Boomerang Village for 5 nights with my parents, husband and 3 children (age 1, 7 and 8).
The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff and the management are very friendly and helpful. The whole experience was so great.
We will definitely return if we do visit Phuket again.
Thank you!
“Boomerang Village - La Dolce Vita hoch über Kata”
alexunterwegs(Leverkusen)
Fazit: Jazz and Soulfood – sehr empfehlenswert!

Compagnia aerea utilizzata : Etihad Airways
Camera 114.
A bordo piscina.
Servizio ineccepibile e camerieri disponibilissimi.

Atmosfera e stile thai, tranquillità e relax, cucina ottima e camere spaziose, pulite e molto curate nell'arredamento. Personale sempre disponibile e gentile. Lo consigliamo a tutti!!!
Grazie di tutto!

“What do you say that hasn't been said before....”
VitaBella10(Aust)
What can we say that you haven't heard before in all the raving reviews about the boomerang. To list: amazing, friendly and truly awesome staff. That is from the reception to management, to the kitchen staff and waitstaff, and not to forget to mention Lilly and Lek the hotel Masseurs, and all the staff that you only see in passing. Back to this a little later....

Anything you asked was never a problem to organise for you. We found staff at this little 3 star Hotel more helpful and efficient than some of the impersonal 5 star resorts.

Food - OMG we didn't go anywhere else in out 5 days. The Thai food here is so nice I didn't feel the need to eat anywhere else. The breakfast is extensive enough to suit most tastes. Besides how much can one person eat. Breakfast starts at 7 and finishes at 1 another reason to relax and sleep in.

Happy hour - yes! 4 -5pm every day we were there and we ordered two cocktails each, yum. Only on the first day did we think there was no alcohol in the Pina Colada, but we think it may have been confused with a non-alchoholic type of Pina Colada on the drink menu.

Hiring a car was not an effort and delivered within 15min of asking at the reception.

Okay..., things that may not be 5 star is the position as you are not on a beach and don't have private access to the beach but the Boomerang never states it is a 5 star resort, and does not have the 5 star price tag.
Also, for our liking one thing we would like to see, would be an 'option' for a thick pillow top on the mattress. We love a firm mattress, but the attached pillow top has lost its thickness and after the first couple of nights we were finding the bed and pillows a little too firm. But that is only our opinion.

But does that change anything for us? Not at all. We are all too happy to recommend the Boomerang as a gem. All who would stay here would not be disappointed - if you are looking for a resort where you would like your children to be able to go anywhere without supervision then you may wish to check out the location as it is not on a beach or have the tennis courts etc. But I love this fact as it means there are not screaming children everywhere 'let loose without supervision' to rain havoc. (sorry)

Now back to the staff although we only stayed 5 days we loved the staff and could easily have stayed longer if we could. It was even hard to say goodbye on leaving. Tears shed and a, "we will return next year" to have a great time with all working there. What else is there to say .... We felt the Boomerang just a lovely place which we based ourselves at and was a haven to return to each evening, to relax.

Thank you everyone. Such an efficiently run Hotel it is a credit to you all.

We are not long on words here, but we had a great time at Boomerang. It was everything that was advertized. The reviews are accurate and we would go back in a heartbeat! Great staff. This was our 33rd annivesary, so we have been there and done that and have had good and bad experiences. This was a great one. The value is amazing and we highly reccommmend . They made the week a fun experience and we look forward to another visit.

Just came back today after seven nights with my wife and daughter here. This place does all the basics very well with clean, spacious rooms and well maintained grounds. The suite we had was restocked with fresh towels for room and beach daily. Tea, coffee and kettle in room. Free bottles of water daily. The owners have a very good sense of style and design as every detail seems well thought out. You definitely know you are in Thailand when you stay here as there are Buddist inspired statues and detailing throughout the rooms and communal areas. The staff are very approachable and its as far away from a bland 'chain' hotel as its possible to be. Excellent value and would definitely stay again.

DethVeggie(Australia)
I stayed here from the 24th-30th October 2010 on advice from a friend at work. He told me it was hard to book as it was so popular. If i could have stayed there another week, then I would have done so. I have never had such a rewarding, relaxing holiday, and I will be back there in April 2011 for Thailand New Year.
The hotel, and all its amenities where excellent, and the staff would have to be the best i have ever met. The attention to detail, from the reception, to the restaurant, to the grounds staff and management where First Class.
The breakfast started at 8 am I think, and finished at 1 or so, which meant you could sleep in, and still make it to breakfast in time. Where else in the world do you have this luxury? And the food/drinks/wine list are on par with the 5 Star Restaurants in the world.
The hotel setting is up a hill side, far enough away, so that its very quiet and tranquil, yet close enough to be an easy walk to the shops/beach or you could take there free transport.
The views are to die for.
You owe it to yourself to go here once in your lifetime, then you will become a Boomerang, always returning.
“Relaxing haven away from the masses”

We stayed at the Boomerang Village for 9 nights in October and could not have been happier with our choice of accommodation. We stayed in a Pool Suite which was a great size for my husband and our two children aged 8 and 10. The rooms were spacious and very clean, decorated tastefully in Thai style. The bathroom was roomy and stocked with all we could need including toothbruses, and the scented oil burner lit each evening was a lovely touch. The gardens are truly gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Our children loved the pool with it's numerous fountains and spa. We loved the poolside cocktails (happy hour 2 for 1 was great), and the mini bar was well stocked and really reasonably priced. Sunloungers were really clean and comfy, and umbrellas were great to keep off the sun and the October rain on occasion. The breakfast was good, a great range of options and topped up regularly. We ate at the restaurant quite a few times and the food was consistently delicous and well priced. I really loved the relaxing music that is piped through the resort - I thought it might be a bit cheesy but after dozing off to it poolside on more than one occasion, I think it was doing it's job!

The staff were fantastic (especially Thanwa) - hotel massages, beach transfers, taxis all arrived within a few minutes of being requested. Free up to date dvds were much appreciated by our kids after a busy day sightseeing (they even went out and bought some new ones once they realised we were frequent borrowers), free internet great for parents.

The hill? It's the driveway to the resort from the road! If you live on the northern beaches of Sydney it's going to be nothing for you. Others....it's honestly not a big deal at all. Boomerang is a short walk to the action of Kata but it is also an absolute haven from the bustle of Kata. It is cooler, quieter and like stepping into an oasis at the end of the day. Never crowded and a very nice clientele of friendly and interesting people from all over the world, both families and couples. It was the perfect choice for our kids first overseas trip, a combination of Thai hospitality and beauty combined with Italian style and attention to detail. Couldn't recommend more highly.

“Only place to stay in Kata”
TamaraSA(Johannesburg, South Africa)
I stayed at the boomerang village in kata during the month of September because I wanted to relax and be by the most beautiful beach in Phuket. I could not have been more graciously welcomed. Firstly, I was astonished at how beautiful the resort was. The rooms are tastefully decorated with thai masks, and flowers, and the overwhelming smell of the aroma therapy oils with candles everywhere was so beautiful indeed. Also, the breakfast buffet is open till late so that the guests can sleep in. Great idea. And my favourite feature of all is the gorgeous pool and the walkways and garden at night. .It's as if you have entered into your own , private world at the boomerang. The staff are all lovely and obliging. Very friendly and helpful. I had the most relaxing and beautiful holiday in phuket because of the boomerang. And I definitely will be returning soon.
Thank you paolo and staff!
"Beautiful, serene and blissful atmosphere”
kerrie56(Gold Coast, Qld Australia)
Boomerng Village was a wonderful place to stay, without the larger resort hype and glitz. The service was second to none, from the initial booking to our departure. The gardens are absolutely stunning and beautiful, very well maintained. Our villa was lovely, very comfortable with simple elegant Thai decor. Bathrooms simple, basic and clean. I can't say enough good things about the staff, very helpful, friendly and always offered a warm smile. Food and drinks were very good, prices reasonable. The pool deck and restaurant had a great panoramic view over the township of Kata and to the ocean, a wonderful relaxing open atmosphere tastefully decorated. The driveway up the hill to the resort is very steep and is a challenge to walk, but the location is worth it, We hired scooters or a car from the resort so it didn't matter, and hire was cheap. You are just up the hill behind the township of Kata, close and handy to Kata beach and shops.Tours can be arranged at the hotel if you wish at reasonable prices or you can bata down town if you prefer. We did both and found little difference in price. Boomerang Village is such a lovely place to come back to, chill out around the pool after a days activities with a cool drink or a swim in the great pool. It is such a blissful and peaceful atmosphere. We are already another planning a trip back and will definitely stay at Boomerang again.

the staff of boomerang are friendly, gentle & helpful. we hired scooters from the hotel once we'd gained our bearings of the place (or close enough). which gives the perfect combination of freedom & access to the busy world just a little bit away from the village, & the quiet peaceful getaway that made boomerage a highlight of our trip. The food at the hotel's restaurant beakfast/ lunch & tea was lovely, the rooms are very clean & comfortable, the pool is a perfect place to lounge & relax. with very few rooms within the village the was a very intimate feel between other guest & the beautiful staff, who truely become your friends while you're there. also the convenience of having free access to the internet 24hrs a day was appreciated by all of our travelling party.

enjoy your stay & don't be affraid to book a nice long stay with the crew at boomerage village.

Best place to Enjoy and relax.
Very quiet, super service!
Yes, a (very) steep Hill at THE entrance. Staf is very, very nice and helpfull. Rooms are beautiful, garden is à little paradise.
Very good food in the restaurant.
Great coffee at breakfast, serves nu à very nice lady. Staf at reception arranges everything !
Little minor is the internet connection, which is often down, caused by the many power dips.
A UPS would help, avoiding modem or acccess point to hang.
Rest is more than OK!!
Next year we will come back for shure, much netter place to be as Hilton or Holiday Inn, much more personal service!

Paolo and staf:
Thanks a lot !!!'n

Service was extremely warm, accommodating and hospitable. Room was comfortable and clean. 15mins walk from town means close enough to all shops and restaurants whilst far enough away to avoid traffic/town noise. Highly recommend hiring a scooter. Whilst location on the side of hill added a bit more exercise to the walk home, the view from the pool/restaurant made it worthwhile. Happy hour by the pool was a favorite! Wish i could have stayed for another month!

Boomerang Village offers excellent service. From picking us up at the airport til sending us off, we were treated with such hospitality. They went above and beyond that of all other hotel services I've ever received: I had absent-mindly left behind my swim suit, and they took that extra mile and went out of their way to mail my swimsuit to me via post.

I liked the room very much, especially the villa concept - the one room, one 'hut'. It was very romantic... with candle lights and a fragrant oil lamp. It's not an exquisite room with extravagant decor... it hasmore of a rustic feel (It's not a 5 star hotel, but really is excellent value for the cost!). At first, I wasn't quite used to the tinted sliding glass doors, but the curtains block the sun out extremely well, and the glass doors allow for lots of natural sunlight to come in.

Boomerang's slightly further away from the beach (10 min walk), and located atop a hill. I actually quite liked being away from all the hustle and bustle below where the main roads were. it was always very quite and serene. Boomerang also offers free shuttles to the beach during the day (and pick up). We also rented a scooter (Boomerang offers very affordable prices) and driving around the area was extremely convenient.

Another really good service that Boomerang offers is their Buffet breakfast that runs from 8-1pm. The fact that we didn't need to be in a hurry to get our breakfast before they close was definitely an added bonus! Their massage service was very also affordable, and the masseuse(s) gave you your massage in the comfort of your own room. Really nice to just fall asleep after getting a massage in your bed! The hotel also offers many trips/tours to other islands. we went to Phi phi Island to snorkel at quite a reasonable price.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. It really is excellent service and value for the money. I'd also recommend that you rent scooter (regardless of where you stay in phuket) as it is much, much cheaper to travel around on your own than to hire a taxi or tuk tuk.
At Boomerang Village you totally come to peace

Our stay at Boomerang Village in Phuket was delightful!
After a long flight from Amsterdam we were pretty jetlagged and it was such a bless to arrive at Boomerang Village. The pool they have is an oasis of tranquility, it was never crowded with people and therefore the perfect place to relax and come to peace.

The room was also very nice and spacious. And at night the place looks like a fairy tale with all the little torches lit up along the drive way and next to the bungalows.

People who say Kata Beach is a 40 minute walk are out of their minds: it was just a 15 - 20 minute walk but you could also just as easily take a tuktuk (don't pay more than 150 bath though!). We rented a scooter/motorbike from the hotel for 200 bath for a full day and toured the kata beach area ourselves. A really fun way to explore the beaches.
Lovely Hotel - Great Staff

We booked Boomerang after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and very glad we did.

The process was really easy - emailed the hotel and received responsed almost immediately.

The hotel is on a hill, away from the bustle of the town - but free transport to and from the town makes it easy to access the beach, etc.

The boys (15 + 18) particularly liked breakfast being served until 1 pm!!

The hotel is small - just 17 rooms, but each is beautifully presented, representing the local culture and architecture.

On our last day we arranged to leave early - before breakfast was due to be served, but we received a phone call to say that we could take an early breakfast.

The pool is sparklingly clean making it a pleasure to swim in - especially at 'Happy Hour' when all drinks are 2-for-1. I'd recommend the Singapore Sling!!
Excellent

Preis / Leistung stimmen hier ohne jeden Zweifel.

Having recently stayed at Boomerang Village at Kata for 4 days, I thought it necessary to write a short review detailing my experience at this location. In short, I cannot recommend Boomerang Village highly enough and would go so far as to say in all my travels throughout SE Asia, Boomerang Village at Kata would go close to rating as the nicest, friendliest place I have stayed at anywhere in the region.

Having been upgraded from a Superior Bungalow to a Deluxe on arrival, I was thrilled when I first stepped inside to see how beautiful the bungalow was. The bed was covered in freshly picked orchid flowers which were scattered beautifully across the bed, as well as in other places throughout the bungalow. The 4 poster King-size bed was very confortable and even lying in bed we could see the ocean in the distance. The front verandah/porch was a great spot for sitting in the afternoon with a beer and good book to relax and admire the gorgeous tropical gradens and landscaping throughout.

In terms of the staff, each person we had any contact with could not have been any nicer or more professional. I would like to give particular mention to one of the night receptionists, ‘Somlack’. Having to be out of bed early to go on day tours on two occasions, Somlack actually went to the trouble of both arranging to open the kitchen early so we could have a light breakfast before we left for the day, and on the second occasion, Somlack actually prepared a lovely packed breakfast for us the night before which consisted of fresh fruit, breads and cereals. Somlack went above and beyond her normal duty to make sure we had something to eat which I thought was fantastic customer service!

I might also add that the included buffet breakfast is delicious, and as well as the more traditional Asian dishes available, a range or meats, hams and cheese is also provided for those westerners like me missing food from home.

Although Boomerang Village is located some way from the beach, I believe therein lies one of its big advantages. It is very quiet and peaceful and away from any hustle and bustle. For those people not wanting to rent a motorbike from Boomerang, there is a bus provided by them which provides a complimentary morning and afternoon shuttle to the beach. There is also a lovely, clean pool which is great for lazing around and taking advantage of Boomerang’s daily happy hour.

All in all, Boomerang Village is an amazing place to spend a week and it is now the only place I will stay at when in Phuket. As I mentioned earlier, I just can’t recommend the place highly enough considering how inexpensive it is – thank you everyone at Boomerang for a wonderful stay!
Thai style relaxation overlooking busy Kata

We stayed here for 10 nights with our twin 16 year old boys and had a wonderful time. Our rooms were next door to the pool and were enormous with fabulous statues inside! Every day we got up later and later as relaxation started to take over. The staff were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed without ever intruding. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the bar. This is a small hotel with gardens all around. We were given a free shuttle down to the beach whenever we asked and on our last day were able to stay in the room until we had to leave for the airport with no extra cost. The walk down to the beach and back is also fun. Lots of restaurants nearby but the restaurant in the hotel is fine. Kata beach is a great surf beach and the shops/restaurants on the way to Karon were great. The photos on the website are an accurate description - just have a look, it is all true!
Very Beautiful resort in the middle of paradise
Sonza74(Tampere, Finland)
We stayed at Boomerang village with my boyfriend on May 27th-June 6th 2010.
The garden and the resort itself was stunning! It was everything we expected and even more.
We had booked the Deluxe room, which was absolutely beautiful. We loved the bed with curtains and the airconditioning was very good with darkening curtains in the windows, so you could sleep without any distraction of the light or heat.

Buffet breakfast was excellent like the hotel restaurant Cafe del Sol as well.

We rented a scooter from the hotel almost every day and that was good way to get to know the area, Kata beach, Patong, Nai Harn etc. The location of the Boomerang village was good for us, up in the hill and it was very quiet and safe with the 24h guard.

In our warm memories is The Staff. We couldn't even imagine, how friendly and warm hearted they were. Especially the girls in the reception. Even the smallest thing you asked and they were helping you. You sense the caring, relaxing inviroment. The management were also very helpful and they worked along the staff.

Thank you for the most amazing vacation we had! We will come back :))

We are family of 4 persons of the Netherlands , 2 adults and 2 children off 12 and 16 years old.
We have a friendly pick up at Phuket airport , on the way the mini van driver told us about some interesting points.

At the moment I'm still staying at Boomerang Village.
So far so excellent .
When we arrived the reception people ,offer us some drinks.
They informed us about Boomerang Village and the excursions if we want to do this.

After that another man bring our suitcases to our room.
My first thoughts were wow, flowers on the bed, lovely smell, and more flowers everywhere I look.
Free Internet connection at our rooms.
A beautifull garden en a welcome paper on the table also a little paper that they will work in the garden for the next 2 days.
Well informed.

There's a little swimming pool with jacuzzi.
The place is very beautiful, peacefull and a service with a smile.
The breakfast will be until 13:00 ! and is very tastefull, croissants, toast, eggs, yoghurt, fruits and so one, could I ask for more ?

Indeed you need transportation to the beach because the entrance hill will be a problem for people with legg and health problems.

Because Boomerang Village offers a beach transportation there's no problem.
I make a telephone call from the little beach bar ( who serve drinks a menu and free wave boards ) to let me pick me up.
Again no problem at all because I will make my own time.

Until now I have every evening my dinner at the restaurant.
A absolute lovely place with a again a service with a smile.
I have eat Italian food, Thai Food , we loved it.
The price is very good ,actually very very low.

I booked this hotel because we came from Pattaya where we have done some excursions and after Phuket we will travel to Bangkok with again excursions.

Boomerang Village will be the place to relax until now I have no complains at all only that hill,.....
The price/quality is very very good.
the only place to stay in Phuket!

We stayed for 7 nights & loved everything about it. Firstly, the design of the resort is beautiful. It consists of several wooden thai style bungalows spread out amongst lush tropical gardens - no cold grey concrete apartment blocks here!! The pool is quiet & relaxing with a pool bar serving happy hour 2 for 1 drinks each day at 4pm and there is free wifi throughout the resort.

The location is set back from the beach on the hill about 15 mins walk from Kata town / 20 mins walk from Kata beach with the only steep/hilly part of the walk being the short driveway to the resort. You do not need to walk this if you dont want to - the resort has a free shuttle to Kata during the day. We preferred to walk so we were getting a little bit of exercise on holiday, especially with eating all the amazing Thai food & cheap beer!

Resort massages are great value in the comfort of your airconditioned room & only marginally more expensive than in the town (maybe 50-100 baht difference).

The restaurant is very good, and breakfast is outstanding! So much choice and they will make you fresh coffee (cappucino, latte etc) & cook you fresh eggs to your liking (we recommend scrambled as they are cooked in the wok so have that amazing asian wok flavour!). Dinner at resort was good value, however do recommend skipping the expensive tourist cafes (150 baht for sandwich) & restaurants (250 baht for pasta) in town and instead eating at some of the local places - basically any covered area that has plastic tables & chairs set up! Can get amazing authentic thai food 50-60 baht for main (e.g. curry or stir fry) and 20 baht for rice.

Any tours you want to do can be organised through reception - we did a 6 island cruise (including Phi Phi) which was good but our favourite was the Thai cooking class (ask to go to "Phuket Thai cookery school" - reviewed on TA).

Kata beach near the resort was more beautiful & peaceful than busy Karon or Patong - so glad we didnt stay in either of those areas of phuket! VERY busy with lots of bars, drunk tourists, people trying to sell you anything/everything & no relaxtion. Much better to just catch a tuktuk and visit for the day/evening if you want (400baht from Kata to Patong via tuktuk).

I also recommend going to the Dinopark minigolf in Kata town - 15mins walk from the resort! The best minigolf I have ever been to and a great way to spend an hour in the evening before/after dinner (they close at midnight).

Finally the staff at the resort were fantastic and nothing was ever too much trouble for them to organise for you - they even give you a little gift when you check out which is really sweet :) Would definitely stay here again!
Great price, great experience

Stayed here for 4 nights and i would definitely stay here again. We requested a late check out as our flight only departed at 11PM and they were more than accommodating.

We also tried the room-service which was reasonably priced and quite tasty.

Its a bit far away from Patong and other shopping destinations but it was never too hard to get a Tuk-Tuk from the main road.

We got a Superior Bungalow and the rooms were really large and spacious. Staff were also extremely helpful and had good english. Great stay!
Excellent
andai(Johor Bahru, Malaysia)
Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife and the only thing that I can say... PERFECT! It's my wife birthday and we also celebrating her graduation. I ask the Boomerang gang to prepare something special for the occasion and it turned out to be better than expected. We have the Spaghetti with Crab (extremely delicious!) and we have the candle light dinner at the poolside and it was very beautiful. The staff is very, very professional even they don't speak excellent English (so do us... :)

The room itself is awesome! We stayed at the Deluxe room on top of the hill overlooking the town and Andaman sea. The gang also prepare an excellent bed setting with flowers and swans towel arrangement on day 2 which surprised me and my wife. Lucky me... :)

Pool happy hour from 4 to 5 is value for money (buy 1 get another free). We never missed it even for a day. The environment nearby the pool is so relaxing, and that is exactly what we looking for on this trip (away from the kids), after our trip to Tokyo and Pangkor 3 weeks earlier.

The price is unbelievable. With the service and facilities provided, we would expect to pay more.

We would like to recommend it especially to couples looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway, as one of the resort guest were saying... "This place is just like heaven".. we totally agree with him...

Finally, to the Boomerang staff... Thank you very much for your kind hospitality and excellent services... We'll see you in the future...
A real little gem!
AustraliaMlls(Australia)
We were concerned by the few critical reviews but when we got there, we had an absolutely fabulous and relaxing time! The room was immaculate, tastefully decorated, comfortable and cozy! The pool was wonderful and there was always a light breeze in the air (from location on a little hill?)

Staff are very friendly and there are a few trainee waitresses on site. The trainees were well, I guess still training so they often had to run back and forth to check things with the supervisor(?) and were a bit awkward when serving. We really did not mind because they were always polite and hey, good service had to be learned somewhere right?

The hotel was a 10-15min walk from the main shopping streets and the beach front but that did not bother us because we always waited for the hotel car to take us downtown. Also, when you book tours and spas, the business sends complimentary transport to take you to and from your trip anyhow. Alternatively, take a taxi, the Reception staff can help you call for one, easy!

We would recommend this hotel in a heart beat! And we had, to 2 of our friends just this morning! We appreciate the effort that the owner and staff have put in this place. Well done!

I stayed here for 6 nights earlier this month specifically to work on a new business venture and for me this place was almost perfect.
I am not really a fan of the girlie bar scene but unfortunately this is reality for most of Phuket and the walk from the Boomerang to the Beach meant receiving the usual come-ons from the local girlie brigade.
If you do choose to stay in Kata then the Boomerang would be the only choice.
Great staff.
Lovely pool.
Very decent breakfast.
Superb Deluxe room.
The rooms have a safe and the internet is free. The speed was very good and apart from the occasional blip in the reception overall it was perfect for my purpose and I used the internet solidly throughout my stay there.
The management here obviously have a genuine interest in their guests and the girl on main reception was incredibly professional at her job.
When I left I was given a leaving gift.
Highly recommended!
Exceptional service- best I have had anywhere

A beautiful, small and charming place with great rooms and a nice pool. Extremely attentive service, very kind, will do anything and everything to help you and will not charge extra for it even if for thing other places would. They also give you a small gift when you leave. it makes you feel at home.
The only down side, it's a bit far from the center (Patong is about 35 min) and not all taxi drivers know where is it. But it's worth it for the peaceful and blissful quiet of this place. I have great
A great find

We have just spent eight nights at Boomerang and our intention was to have a relaxing time and Boomerang fitted the bill perfectly. The restaurant reopened on our first full day which was great. Breakfast is served from 8am until 1pm and because the resort is intimate, guests get to know one another in the dining room. The staff just keep on making coffee for you, and with a smile! It's only a few minutes walk to Kata beach and the hilly bit on the way back up is only short (less than a minute) and very manageable. There's a handy 7/11 on the main road if you need extra supplies. Our room was clean and there were plenty of towels every day. We had our own outdoor area with comfortable chairs and a table. The food in the dining room is very good, a little more expensive than in Kata but not prohibitively so. The pool is gorgeous and very clean. If you need a taxi, reception will order it for you and they also arrange the taxi (and the price) to the airport so you are not hassled. We had a wonderful time there and we would recommend it to anyone not wanting a large, impersonal resort. The only suggestion I would make is that maybe the resort shouldn't be open to children under the age of 12. The day before we left a family with three young children arrived and the pool isn't really big enough for inflatables and splashing about. It also disturbed the tranquility of the resort. I believe Boomerang is best suited to adults.
This hotel is amazing! Especially for the price
Stompeh(Suffolk, England)
This hotel is amazing! Especially for the price, I would expect to pay a lot more money for such a lovely place.
the greeting we recieved when arriving stunned us quite a bit, the receptonist was very friendly and gave us some orange juice while she explained all the services available like massages, trips to the Simon caberet etc, and showed us to our room and explained where everything was.
Spotlessly clean room, which was decorated with flowers, air con and a fan overhead, and nice shower!
The restaurant is closed for rennovation for the peak season I assume, but we had breakfast delivered to our room all free of charge, and there's plenty of restaurants near by at the bottom of the hill.
The pool looks lush! Fountains and things... And there's a computer next to it which is free to use and very quick.
Kata beach is about a 20 min walk away, but they have a free shuttle car or you can order a taxi.
The staff here are so lovely, and all in all this is a brilliant hotel.
Being 18 and 19 we have been told that patong beach is the place with the best nightlife and it's a little way a way from there, but obviously there are lots of places to go in kata beach and you can always
jump in a taxi to get to karon beach and patong about 5-10 min taxi ride away.
We have to leave very early in the morning, and the receptionist just brought us some breakfast for tomorrow! Amazing service :)
would recommend to anyone, couples, families... You must stay here!

Me and my husband have just come back from a fantastic holiday in Phuket. We stayed at the Boomerang Cottage village and did not regret it, l discovered this resort on internet and instantly fell in love with the place, and booked a 2 weeks stay. The staff is wonderful, especially Mr. Paolo nothing is to much trouble, we were upgraded to one of the beautiful poolside suites, which was really a lovely surprise for us, the rooms are spacious, confortable and very clean, towels and sheets are changed everyday. The tropical gardens are divine and the view breathtaking, the restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed eating there every evening. We highly reccomend the Boomerang Village, and we look forward to come back in this unique place.
A really great place to stay
Seaside-Bill(Somerset)
All the positive reviews and comments here are absolutely spot-on. Boomerang Village Cottages is a very tasteful and relaxing place to stay - outstanding value and very well managed. We stayed for 8 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The bungalows are spacious, comfortable, well equiped and the terraced layout provides a good degree of privacy/seclusion and great views over the tropical garden to the sea beyond. Other reviewers observations about distance from Kata town/beach are valid, but don't let that put you of - the upside is the tranquility and views. It is possible to walk to local restaurants and the beach, but given the heat and humidity you'll find it easier to use the free beach transfer during the day or taxi in the evening. They're readily available everywhere and prices are fairly cheap, particularly if you're prepared to haggle with the tuk tuk driver. The bus service to Phuket Town passes along the main road a short walk from Boomerang and offers a fun trip in a colourful, open sided vehicle at insanely low prices - hail it just like a taxi. The restaurant on site is excellent and prices comparable to similar places in town. 'International cuisine' is available but the thai food is exceptional so why bother? Food, beer, cocktails and fruit juice prices are good, but if good wine is your tipple of choice you'll need deep pockets - it's very expensive anywhere in Phuket.
If you're thinking of booking Boomerang Village Cottages, DO IT, you won't regret it.
Vacanza indimenticabile, albergo da sogno
Valentina(Milano)
Peaceful, tropical retreat

This was our first hotel in Thailand and we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the detached villa next to the pool which was one large room and a bathroom. We also had our own little garden area. It was great having the pool so conveniently located to the room. Unfortunately my friend and I had to settle for sharing a bed as no single bed rooms were available but this wasn't a problem as the king size bed was huge. The room had all the essentials, nice bathroom with a good hot water shower, fridge and aircon and the linen and room were spotless. The room rate included a very extensive buffet breakfast. The staff were all very helpful. The hotel is a good half hour walk to the beach and in the heat we mostly took advantage of the free transfers provided by the hotel (on request) or paid 100 baht for a taxi if the hotel manager was not available to do a transfer. Kata beach is okay but nothing special (spoiled by Perth beaches). It was the usual deal - 100baht each to hire two sun lounges and an umbrella. The market shopping was okay and we caught taxis to Pattong Beach and Karon Beach. I preferred Kata beach but would be unlikely to choose Phuket area for a holiday again as there are more attractive places in Thailand (we loved Hua Hin). The hotel was great - the driveway is very steep so you'd need to be pretty fit but most people come and go via taxi or transfer and hire motorbikes. Out of all of the places we went in Thailand this is probably the only place I'd consider hiring a motorbike. The traffic and roads are pretty good. Boomerang Village was a great place to stay - and exceptional value. If I recall correctly, our room rate was 1500 baht per night. You can book massages in your room - which I can recommend - for about 300 baht. And happy hour is between 4 and 5 every day - two drinks for the price of one. We had spring rolls with our drinks a few times which were delicious, but didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening. Their menu was extensive. Our routine was beach/shop in the morning after breakfast, massage about 2 or 3 pm, pina coladas poolside and a swim until happy hour finished at 5, then showers and head off by taxi to Pattong or Karon or Kata for dinner. Didn't discover the south end of Kata beach until the last day but that is probably the best area to beach and eat in Kata. Had great Thai food in the north end of the Kata township (walking distance from Boomerang Village) at a terraced restaurant - sorry can't recall the name. We stayed 3 nights and were collected very early on Day 4 for the transfer to Elephant Hills at Khao Sok National Park.
If there is such a thing as paradise!

We found it! This four day stay was absolutely breathtaking. The picturesque setting in the hillside with its exotic gardens just whet the appetite for what we were about to experience as we stepped into our charming little cottage full of Thai charm. But that wasn't all, the magnificent pool area landscaped to perfection for our physical and visual comfort. Beside it down some stairs was the lovely Cafe del Sol with its tempting menus and views. We could go on.. Paolo was a wonderful host and his staff were first rate. We look forward to coming back to this unique and exotic place.

Stayed here for 3 days in a deluxe villa room, which more than met my expectations, the restaurant was excellent, I recommend trying the lobster (need to order in morning), they helped book all tours and provided free shuttle taxi to the beach. No complaints, I would have liked the bed to have been softer, but having travelled round asia have come acustomed to hard beds.
I can vouch for the reviews previously on here and add to the fact that the resort has a personal feel to eat and can say it has been one of the best botique resorts I have stayed at.

I wish it well for the future!!

P.S free wifi a nice touch!
A beautiful relaxing oasis in the heart of Kata
ValenciaPaella(valencia)
We are a mature couple who have a b & b in Valencia & therefore know a thing or 2 about standards & service. We stayed for 1 month in January 2010. The cottages are set amongst beautiful tranquil gardens,( Guests who have difficulty in walking up hill should request a cottage on the lower levels of the hill). Italian owned & run, the staff were amongst the best we have come across in our travels, every request greeted with a warm friendly smile & response. Excellent food in the Italian inspired restaurant, very good breakfast too. Ideally situated for Kata & beaches, only 30 minutes away by taxi from bustling Patong & Phuket town. Most days were spent lazing around the lovely pool, the most relaxing holiday we have ever had & we had no hesitation in booking for 2011 before we left. Highly recommended!!
Heaven on earth

We discivered this resort on Internet in June 2009, and were lucky there still 2 cottages for reservation. What a splendid holiday we had. A beautiful quiet place in the middle of nature, friendly staff, Italien owners and management, but no problem for English language. Paolo 2 and Orfeo always there for a helping hand when needed. Organize sightseehing was not more expensive at reception as in town. Receptionist English is very bad. Bur Paolo 2 is always arround. Changing money was at good rate. Food and drinks normal prices even cheaper then in town. Thai and italian kitchen. We were here for a month. And with a good health we will be back next year. Also Manging director Paolo Basso is a very kind host;

This is the first time we have written a review for trip advisor. We choose this hotel based on everyones comments and now we have been there, definately agree!. Its a wonderful place to stay. Romantic, serene, beautiful tropical garden & lovely thai style rooms with privacy. Unfortunately we couldn't stay there our entire holiday, as they were fully booked. Although not close to the beach (about 20mins walk) this doesn't matter as they will transport you there daily for free. Staff very friendly & helpful. Local thai resturant @ the T junction of main rd (right hand side- opposite the post office) is a real gem. cheap & very tasty....we couldn't find another better than this, hence had to keep going back! Don't delay, book ahead so you don't miss out like we almost did!
One of the best in Thailand

We stayed for one night in Phuket and needed a place within a short distance of the ferries to Krabi. This place turned out to far exceed our expectations! Great service, friendly staff, fantastic swimming pool. Beautifully decorated, quiet rooms. A 15 minute walk to a pleasant beach.

Don't miss the breakfast!

Just returned from the most perfect place. Boomerang will most certainly remain in our thoughts. We had a wonderful holiday. Boomerang is all you could wish for and more. Delightful staff from the young man who tends the pool to the boss. Restaurant serving good food with a smile, nothing is to much trouble. I hope we can make it back another year

A great find

We were delighted to stay at the Boomerang Village and became more and more impressed with our choice as we saw what else was on offer in the are and at what price. We had a superior room which was a detached bungalow with a big bedroom and impressively sized bathroom and shower room. Beautifully furnished and a great swimming pool. The attached restaurant which is called the Cafe del Sol provides excellent evening meals in a lovely setting at very good prices. The village of Kata was not so much to our liking being just a bit too busy.
This place is a slice of paradise

Spent Christmas 2009, absolutely amazing place and location. The view over Kata is fabulous, I have travelled all over the world and stayed in many 5 Star Locations and I would rate this up with the best of them. Even better this place has soul, great staff team, relaxation, good food, great accommodation and is certainly not pretentious if any way. Keep it simple hire a moped, visit the fabulous beaches, visit the local eateries but always come back home to the Boomerang. I will certainly be back one day........

Grazie ancora.

Wonderful, relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings

An oasis of calm
I chose this hotel on the basis of previous reviews and I was not disappointed. The setting is wonderful; you would not think that this hotel was minutes away from the bustling Kata town centre. The rooms were very comfortable with distinctive styling, frequent changes of bed linen and plentiful towels. Lovely pool which, though not suited to swimming lengths, was very adequate for the number of guests that the Boomerang accommodates. The restaurant was excellent too; we ate there a lot and always enjoyed the food and the setting. And the staff were so helpful, including driving us to and from the marvellous beach for free! The hotel is set on a steep hill which may not suit the more infirm, but if you can walk then I recommend this hotel without reservation. And it's good value too.
Luxury at an affordable price
VIPClarkson(London)
My husband, my friend and I stayed here in November in a suite. The room itself was very spacious and had beautiful wood carvings everywhere. The third bed was a proper bed and not a camp bed. The suite had magnificent views over the town across to the sea and was surrounded by lush greenery and beautifully tended gardens. We were lucky to have a room right by the pool which was far from noisy and one could always get a sun bed. The setting was beautiful and at night candles were dotted round the edge of the pool which had Balinese statues and fountains around it.

Despite being up a very steep hill we found the location very suitable for our needs. The hotel was away from the hub bub and noise of Kata and like a sanctuary to come back to. We loved the fact that we were staying in chalets rather than a high rise, non-descript hotel with no character.

Breakfast was a buffet under a thatch roof with everything you could imagine and every need catered for. The staff were very helpful and polite. Two for the price of one cocktails went down a treat at 4.00 pm. We ate in the restaurant one evening and had an Italian meal whcih was very tasty although the Thai food was equally so.

We thoroughly recommend Boomerang Village and would certainly go there again.
A Feast for the senses

We stayed at Boomerang cottages for 2 nights of our honeymoon in Thailand. We were only really here as a stop over between Singapore and Koh Phi Phi, but Boomerang made a really big impression. We arrived in the evening and received a very warm welcome. The place seemed magical to us, set up on the hill, with the beautiful, tropical gardens all lit up, and the smell of exotic oils burning in the rooms. The accommodation was fantastic, and very romantic. We stayed in a Deluxe cottage, our room was large, and very well equiped considering the price. You get a feeling that the owners put a lot of love into this place, and every detail is carefully thought out. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is simply fantastic, as is the ambience in the retaurant. We had the best meal of our whole honeymoon here. The pool is very pretty and relaxing. You have the feeling of being in an exclusive, boutique resort. In summary, we think Boomerang Village Cottages is a hidden gem, really beautiful. We can't say enough good things - Over all, 10 stars out of 5!
Paradise in phuket
uk-cazza(bournemouth)
This place is amazing. I booked it after reading the reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. I remember someone commenting on how quickly they had a reply to their enquiry and it was the same for me, Paulo was very polite and accommodating.
We booked one of the basic cottages and a pickup from the airport. As promised our driver was there to meet us and we were dropped off at the hotel.
People keep mentioning the hotels location. For us, the location was fantastic, it was set above the dusty roads in lush green beautiful surroundings and yes it is probably a 20 minute walk to the beach but this has benefits, as when the weather is windy and you get sand blowing everywhere on the beach, the pool at the boomerang is a great place to be, as it is sheltered.
The hill that everyone keeps mentioning is fairly steep, but it is the driveway to the hotel and is less than 100 meters long, so unless you are having to push someone up it, its not really a problem. We like to stay away from the noisy nightlife of places like Patong or the centers of Kata and Karon but be close enough to visit, so for us it was ideal.
We hired a scooter for £3 a day which I would highly recommend doing as it enabled us to go all over Phuket on it...for example to the big buddha, the lying down buddha, the gibbon sanctuary and two waterfalls as well as the towns and other beaches.
The man in the evening who looks after the scooters is really lovely...as are all the staff.
The room was great...although the beds were for us, far too hard and we were glad to get back to our own bed! I can't think of anything that the room was lacking really, we even had a gecko house guest that was addicted to ice-cream. The towels and sheets are changed daily and there is an aircon unit and a fan. Any slight problems we had with things (ie the electricity going off, probably due to us having the tv, aircon, fan and shower on at once) were resolved quickly (flick the reset switch in the box by the door).
The breakfast was adequate and available until late...I recommend the lattes.
So difficult to pick a single best thing...one of the best things is that they have a 'business center' which has a computer with free internet access so you can send emails or surf the web, another is the relaxed, intimate environment and another is the friendliness of the staff.

This was our second magnificent visit to Thailand. The Boomerang was everything and more than expected during our week there. We reserved a suite near the pool since I am disabled --- a great choice. This is a small intimate resort which is a welcome change to a frenetic lifestyle. English is not a strong suit in this part of Phuket so according to the locals we stayed at Boom L ang up the mountain. A magnificent part of our Asian Adventure. Many thanks again to all for our stay at "A Piece of Paradice"
Amazing

My husband and I visited Thailand for 3 weeks and Boomerangs was our first stop. We stayed here for 3 nights in one of the Superior cottages. I did alot of research before booking all the hotels we stayed during our Honeymoon and this was the cheapest and had the best reviews in the Kata area. We arrived at Midnight from the US and thankfully I booked the transfers through the hotel, having family that live in Thailand they said Phuket was notorious for ripping off tourist with transportation. They charged 800 baht and that is cheaper then you would pay hailing a taxi from the airport and you didn't have to worry about anything, they met you there with a sign and the ride was about 30 minutes to Boomerangs. We were so happy when we pulled up, the Manager Paulo greeted us at 1 am with fresh towels and a juice that was so refreshing after our long journey. We instantly fell in love with the place, it was so small and quaint and very well maintained and the rooms were beautiful. Having our own private cottage was great, and they also had flowers on the bed that was such a nice touch. We woke up early despite going so bed late and went to breakfast, it was small but wonderful. The restaurant makes you feel like you are in Thailand with all the statues and colors. The service was so personable I didn't want to leave. The walk to the beach is about 10-15 minutes but Paulo will drop you off around 9 am and pick you up around 4 for FREE! They really go out of there way to make your stay enjoyable. The free WIFI was so nice and most larger hotels charge you for it. He also will take you to other areas for the same price as a local taxi or tuk tuk and you dont have to walk down the street and wait for one. This was a great start to our vacation and staying at 2 different hotels in Kata (Kata Beach Resort and spa) I would pick this one over that one anytime I visit that area again. I couldn't get over the hospitality and willingness to make you as comfortable as possible. I will be back : )
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed, and felt right at home

Paolo and Paolo and the wonderful staff at the Boomerang enhanced our stay on Phuket. We were warmly welcomed, then led to the lounge area where we were given a refreshing welcome drink, and informed of tours and how to make the best of the Boomerang's facilities. We were upgraded to one of the beautiful suites, and found it to be very comfortable, and immaculately clean. The decor was very tasteful and the special thought regarding the guest's comfort, a joy, quality of linen and everything in the room was great. The bed was really comfortable. There were orchids scattered around an oil burner filling the room with a divine fragrance, the ambiance very welcoming.
The gardens are divine and so well cared for, the pool crystal clear, and happy hour every afternoon is a great way to enjoy the view from the pool landing.
The restaurant has an extensive menu, the service was excellent, nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff everywhere at the Boomerang even the valet were warm, friendly and very accommodating. They organised travel arrangements for us, taxis, and drove us to the beach which is only 5 minutes away, we walked back as it is not that far, but you can organise a pick up if necessary,
Even though it is back from the beach, it is much quieter, and being perched on the side of a hill the breezes and view were wonderful. There was a lot of building happening at the beach so we were very glad of our decision to stay at the Boomerang. We stayed at the Boomerang for 3 days then traveled through Thailand for a few weeks, returning the Boomerang for another 3 days before we flew home. We highly recommend the Boomerang. The hospitality, cleanliness, attention to detail, restaurant, cocktails and the outstanding staff will definitely encourage us to visit the Boomerang when we return to Phuket. Kata Beach is a lovely part of Phuket, laid back and offers plenty to do. Thank you to all at the Boomerang, we felt very at home and cared well for.

Amazing Stay at Boomerang Cottages
JLiggins(San Francisco, CA)
Tonight is our last night at Boomerange Village and we are sad to leave this tranquil and peaceful resort. Everything has been wonderful, right from the start. As promised, a driver was waiting for us at the airport upon our arival. We were taken to the resort in a comfortable car with AC ( which was much needed after a 20 hour flight). Once we arrived, we were greated and offered a cold fruity drink. Yet another nice gesture. We stayed at cottage #4, which was beautifully decorated, clean and air conditioned. It had a safe and a fridge with free water replenished daily. We headed straight for the pool. Their happy hour special (buy one drink get one free) is exactly what we needed!

The staff at the this resort is awlays polite and helpful. We forgot our converter, but Mr. Paolo came to the rescue and provided us with one. We used their services to rent a moped, which was less expensive than anywhere else in town. They were very helpful with directions and suggestions for places to go and things to see. The security guard just like the rest of the staff greet you with smile every day.

The daily breakfast had a nice variety and tasty options to choose from. We also tried appetizers for their happy hour and the food was flavorful and nicely presented.

Boomerang Village is located on the hill, surrounded by luscious greenery. You really feel like you are in the tropics, so quiet and peaceful. The walk to the beach is easy and you are close to all the markets, shops, restaurants and other activities.

We would definitely recomment this hotel to a friend and hope to come back again in the future.
a piece of heaven

We just left the Boomerang Village Cottages, and sad to leave. From the moment we arrived, you can just feel the peaceful tranquility. You are escorted into a waiting lounge, and given a cold drink. The view is wonderful, the music is tranquil, and the vegetation is exotic. The property if filled with the most beautiful buddah pieces, i had to buy one just like it...heavy to bring home!!
The staff couldn't be nicer. Everyone was willing to help and made our stay wonderful. i was apprehensive to eat in the small resturant, as i am a chef and wondered how it would be...FABULOUS, and the price was wonderful. Actually, we ate there the last 2 nights, as we had found the perfect food and surroundings. The food staff just couldn't be better, the food was perfect, and i am hard to please...and the hauntinly beautiful music is playing...so romantic. Try the coconut icecream, served in a coconut with a heart of chocolate in the middle...yummy.
Never got to meet the owner, Paolo, but his assistant, Paolo, was able to answer all the questions and make our trip the best.
They have a service to the beach, which isn't that far and on vacation, the exercise is worth the walk, and the staff was always on time to pick us up. If they couldn't take us, they paid for the cab.
It is well worth the cab fare, to and fro from the airport, as there are no stops. Would recommend that you hire them!!
I just hope that in my life time i have the chance to visit this quiet , romantic hotel again.
Thanks so much,,
carla
Beautiful and Excellent Value for Money
sabinerebecca(Shanghai)
We booked this hotel not despite its distance to the beach but BECAUSE of its distance to it. We did not want to be constantly surrounded by tarts and touts.
We went as a family of 6 with 3 children 13y, 7y and 3 months and their grandma. Everyone of us was very happy with the resort.

Staff and Management:
- Every email from my initial inquiry to special requests, such as our requirement of a room close to pool to always be able to watch the kids, or asking in advance for a birthday cake for our daughter, or date changes of our stay, had been answered promptly, detailed and positively.
- On our departure day the management came and offered us to keep our suite room until 4:30 p.m. (!!!!) for free if we could leave the other room right after breakfast. This was really accommodating because they needed the room the same evening, and very helpful because our flight was in the evening.
- Every single staff member was cheerful, friendly, helpful.

Bedroom:
Clean, spacious, very tastefully decorated in Thai style with love to the detail.
Bathroom:
Spacious and clean, lots of room for everything.
Towels were provided for the room, extra towels for the pool and again extra towels to take to the beach. The suite room provided also bath robes.

No phone in room, that's true.
But firstly this is not a business hotel and secondly actually everyone has cell phones now and there is a Thai service that lets you use your overseas SIM card for local calls at local cost. Plus the staff always assists you free of charge if you want to make a local call to a tour provider or restaurant.

TV with international channels such as BBC, DW TV.......
DVD player. Came in handy as we stayed during the rainy season and let the kids watch one DVD once.

Minor things to mention:
- For our cottage with 4 beds the one wardrobe in the room was too small.
- The bedside lamps were beautiful, but the light too dim for comfortable evening reading.

Pool:
Gem!
Not big but stunningly beautiful.
Simply perfect if you are not coming to Phuket to swim olympic laps.
There is space to sit and relax at both ends of the pool and one end is also equipped with jacuzzi.

Restaurant:
A typical open style Thai restaurant, very meticulously decorated all over.
Breakfast buffet starts from 8a.m. to 1p.m. but actually it was most times 8.30 before everything had been set up completely. Which doesn't matter when you know it.

Lunch and dinner dishes were all very good and you get also excellent value for money.
It is a pity that the restaurant is far from the center and has therefor not many guests from outside: other 'restaurants' in Kata with more or less the same menu but higher prices did disappoint us.

Living Room: Open and as beautiful as everything else.

Location:
Yes, up a very steep hill. But we walked to the beach a few times although the resort provides free shuttle. And it took us 20 min to Kata Yai Beach.
The steep part is by the way only about 100 m long and pretty managable.

If we go back to Phuket I will definitely try to book Boomerang Cottages again.

Boomerang Village Cottages - room entrance

I was organising this holiday for my parents and they have truly enjoyed their stay at BVC. Room was nice and clean, stuff always ready to help. Beach transfer service happen to be very handy as it is a bit hard for two aged people climb up the hill, but there was never a problem to organise a transport to and from the beach. The pool is great, especially during a low season. The garden is beatifull and well looked after. Breakfast is tasty, but a little bit simple. Overall, this is one of those places you never afraid to recommend. Photos on BVC website are true Thanks, Paolo&Paolo and thanks tripadvisor.
Highlights:
- real rainforest begins where the garden ends
- the view
- koi fish in the stream
- delightful swimming pool
Simply beautiful
PlanBSingapore(Singapore)
The hotel is located on a steep hill, overlooking Kata Bay. We stayed in a deluxe villa and to put it in a nutshell: it was simply great. The villa was beautifully furnished and decorated, spacious and clean. The garden and pool area were really nice, creating a really relaxing atmosphere. It's possible to walk to the beach, but it will take you about 30 minutes. However, they offer a shuttle service to the beach and should you miss that you can always take one of the inexpensive but fun Tuk Tuks.
We found it was a great place to stay and to use as a starting point for trips all over the island and simply great value for money.
Fantastic start to our honeymoon

We arrived at Boomerang after a long journey from the UK. It was the perfect spot to relax and get used to the climate. The staff are really helpful and the food is excellent. Breakfast is served until 1pm which was great. Beautiful gardens with orchids hanging from the trees. It is quite a long walk to the beach but it was not a problem for us and we sometimes got a taxi back at night which did not cost much. Good, cheap restaurants on the beach looking out to sea. Wish we had stayed longer.

I really loved this place and it was the best hotel we stayed at while in Thailand. The staff were very gracious and a great help in planning our many outings. The restaurant was very good, with a good breakfast buffet. I also had one of the best dinners of my stay in Thailand in the restaurant. The cottages were really nice and I felt very secluded even though there were other cottages...
we'll be back!

The welcome was fantastic, and the staff were so helpful throughout our entire stay. The hotel gives a personal, intimate feel to travelling, and was a pleasure to stay at - we'll be back!

We loved it. The room was beautiful and we could see the sea. The hosts were welcoming and helpful and the breakfast just fantastic. We recommend using the pushbikes if you can't bear to hire a motorbike...we cycled to the beach and to restaurants in the evenings and loved it ..just be prepared for a steep push up the hill as you reach the cottages.
Very good

Very good customer services. The hotel is located at the quiet hill away from the hustle and bustle of the market areas. The furnishing is very good and the hotel rooms are surrounding by beautifully designed garden. We really enjoyed the personal service provided there.

Ryan Merrigan(Australia)
I booked Boomerang Village after some good comments on the Trip Advisor website. And I have to say my wife and I enjoyed our stay so much and we're actually sad that we didn't stay longer at Boomerang than the 2 days we booked. The staff were all lovely and as we were on our honeymoon they made us feel so special and even bought us a little gift which was appreciated. The Cottage is excellent value for money and the facilities are up there with 4 stars or nearly even 5 if we compared it with other places we stayed in Asia. I rated photographs not a perfect 10 because they don't do justice just how beautiful the place is. Overall excellent place to stay and next time we come back to Phuket we won't be staying anywhere else than Boomerang Village. Thanks to all at Boomerang Village.

Also kein Problem!

Essen: Im Restaurant erhält man 10 % Nachlass.

Zimmer: Großzügig, mit allem was man braucht.

I thoroughly recommend Boomerang Village cottages for serene atmosphere, beautiful setting & ultra friendly service.”

HI,
I thoroughly recommend Boomerang Village cottages for their serene atmosphere, beautiful setting and ultra friendly service by the management team. My wife & I stayed 6nights having never been to Phuket before. We were fortunate as it’s proximity to Kata beach (15min walk or 5min scooter ride), a first-rate beach for swimming and excellent surfing (in this fringe monsoon period). Airport pickup and return was so convenient, as was their assistance in organising quality day-trips, recommending restaurants, scooter hire (they have their own) and shopping. The local shops are quieter than Karon, however Kata area was a refuge from madness of Patong – while still being interesting.
The cottages are very comfortable with picturesque views out to the ocean, and receive the welcome cooler breezes, as Boomerang is nestled on the lower part of coastal hills, on fringe of a rain-forest. Unlike many places it has the feel of being apart… while being accessible to shops/beach/restaurants etc. The pool is exquisitely placed, with views over Kata, and there are so many interesting and inviting spots within 30mins of the hotel, that we filled 6days with great memories and fondness for the friendly staff. It is a perfect location for those who seek quality and peace in reasonably priced accommodation, and we will return here, as a base to explore the beautiful southern hills, villages and beaches of Phuket. Regards, Bruce & Prashant Munro
Very good stay, helpful staff & quiet location at great value !

I spent 3 nights in this hotel with my wife and we had a very good time there. From the moment you get to the hotel, you get kind of a personalized attention starting with a warm welcome by Paolo, the supervisor of the hotel.
All the services you need (taxis, activities, car or scooter rental) are available from the reception of the hotel who can arrange everything for you and they charge you the correct price.
You can get massages arranged in your room.
Compared to the other hotels in Phuket, this hotel has an excellent location because it is not far from the beach and located in a quiet place because it is at the top of a hill where you have a nice view of the whole bay.
The comfort of the room is ok, you don't have a big bathroom with all the comfort (bathtub, jacuzzi and other) but you get enough if you don't plan to spend the whole day in you room.
The weird thing is that although the hotel was quiet busy when we stayed there, we did not feel it at all, we met other guests a couple of time only.
So if you are looking for a great value for your money in your choice of hotel, looking for a quiet place in Phuket (i.e. not across the street from the bars or shops) and plan to do a lot of activities during your stay, Boomerang village is the perfect choice for you !
So Lovely...! Unforgettable

After the flight and the airport transfer when I got out of the taxi at Boomerang Village Cottages - it was as if I got to a different world, from a vanity fair - to a little paradise on earth, this first impression was breathtaking... Lovely garden like area with bungallows and cottages, so peacefull and beautiful.
Rooms are very large, decorated in authentic Thai style, smelling of Thai spa oil aromas... and this you can get for only 40$... seems unbeleivable really :)
Breakfast starts at 8 and you can have it till 1 pm... so you can enjoy lying in and still be on time for breakfast with no hurry
Swimming pool is great, beach is about 700 m away, you can walk there or get a hotel car transfer (free 2 times a day) - to Kata beach, sea is very clean and it has waves, so very good for surfing lovers :)
If you want nightlife - go to Patong beach area in the evening (7 km away).

Overall I am more than happy with my hotel choice, the only thing I regret is that it was too short and I plan to come back there again with my friends
Very enjoyable stay

We stayed at the Boomerang village with our family and friends as we were getting married.
Everyone had a fantantastic stay here. The rooms and grounds were emmaculate, The directors Paulo 1 and 2 were great, very helpful.
Our room had fabulous views of Kata and is about 10-15 min walk from the beach. If you have transport this is a much nicer place to stay, as it is not in the hussle and bussle of the main resort. But there is a hill that is very steep and hard to climb- so i would say transport by car or tuk tuk is required.
We would stay at this resort and recommed it to anyone.
The breakfast was very average- but to be fair, towards the end of our stay, we requested omletes and scrabbled egg which they were happy to make for us.
The staff were very friendly, expecially in the resterant- the girls that worked in the evening were lovely- happy to teach us Thai and really made us feel welcome. We would always have 1 last drink at the Bar/Resteraunt before heading to bed- and even if they were closing for the night they would still be happy to make them, nothing was to much trouble.
The food from ther resteraunt was lovely, and good value for money. The only critisism is that the food took ages to come and when your in a group the food did not come all together- several nights we ate there, it was 20-30 minutes from 1st to last dish coming out.
The pool was great- very relaxing, and we made good use of it- Can't beleive that it didnt have one ( the pool is a new addition)- money well spent!
Will be going back next year, and will definately stay here again.
Thanks to all of the staff for making our stay at the Boomerang pleasurable- and hopefully see you all next year.
A beautiful, romantic, relaxing paradise!

We stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Great breakfast; lovely pool; beautiful gardens; really helpful staff; great restaurant and excellent cocktails. The staff drop you down to the beach for free any time up to 2pm. you can then either get a tuk tuk home or a lift from the hotel at 4pm. The staff were happy to serve breakfast early for us on the day when we left early for a tour. Thank you to Paolo and everyone else.
Great staff, Great Services

I stayed for a few days here on the basis of other TripAdvisor reviews. The reviews are correct, it's a wonderful place and has some style at a good price. They even came to save me when my hired moped broke down!
Fantastico

We mostly disliked Phuket, but this little resort is awesome! Up the hill, in a small tropical forest, where you can hear only the frogs and your proper breath. Nice furnished, spacious bungalows, very friendly and helpful staff (grazie, Paolo!). Was a bit strange to speak italian in Thailand, but it was very pleasant. You can have breakfast till 1:00 PM, so you don't need to wake up early. We'd like to return to see the new swimming pool and to eat a really delicous italian pizza.
a gem in Phuket

We have a timeshare at J.W. Marriott, probably the best 5 star hotel in Phuket island, but we wished to know the owners of this hotel because they are italian like us.
What an incredible surprise!
We had only a thai buffet in the night, but immediately we considered this small but enchanting restaurant the best in Phuket .
And the atmosphere, the panoramic position, the pool like a terrace in the hill, the tropical gardens, all is absolutely charming.
And, last but not the least for us because Marriott is many kms far from everything, the pleasure to live in a paradisiac atmosphere, very silent of course, but from a short walking distance t o the typical bustling thai confusion of Kata area.
Compliments to Basso&Basso, the owners.
You are great!
An ABSOLUTE Must stay in Kata

My fiancee and I had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Boomerang Village. We were greeted warmly with complementary drinks and flower necklaces. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets. The resort is absolutely gorgeous and the new pool is a welcome addition. The photos on the internet do not capture just how beautiful the resort is.
The friendly staff recommended some excellent places to visit and they were more than happy to book tours for us, always getting us a very good price. On one trip alone we save more than 800bhat each. (Siam sea canoe). Their very affordable scooter hire made our stay so much more enjoyable. With our own transport we were able to explore the Island and see a lot more than if you were to take on of the very very expesive Tuk-Tuk's. Word of advise.. stay clear of the Tuk Tuk "mafia" in Kata beach.

The one or two slightly negative reviews about Boomerang are unfair. We had a lovely stay at Boomerang Village and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

Thank you Paolo and staff for looking so well after us.
Great introduction to Phuket
Serendipit3(Japan)
I booked one of the bungalows for one night and then one of the cottages for 2 nights, with the hope that one of my old girlfriends would be able to meet me for 2 days. She couldn^t make it, and in pity the management upgraded me to a cottage for all 3 nights. It was a nice personal gesture, which you can expect from the hotel. I think they also felt it was only fair since I was eating breakfast for one instead of two (the food is excellent - I strongly recommend the cappuccino).
The staff are friendly and professional. It is a small hotel so many of the staff take on multiple duties, yet seem to have no problem doing them efficiently. The office staff (Thai and Italian, but speak English extremely well) were amazingly patient about giving me travelling advice.
I would strongly recommend this hotel for couples who are looking for ambience, but I should also say that while I was there a swimming pool was being built (to be finished by September/08, I think) and this will help to satisfy those would like to see more facilities.
I am never the easiest guest to please, but in this case the hotel staff were so wonderful that I left worrying that they would not remember me as well as I would remember them.
Fantastic for honeymooners

These bungalows are fantastic. Upon arrival our bags were taken to our rooms whilst we were given some information and a welcome drink (as well as a bottle of mosquito repellant). Whether there weren't many mosquitoes or whether the repellent was really good, I'm not sure but neither of us got bitten, and we were expecting the mozzies to eat us alive as there was so much tropical greenery and water features.

The bungalows are great, and it's lovely to have your own separate bungalow (especially for honeymooners like ourselves). The 3 Italian owners were great from start to finish, so thanks guys. We had initially only planned on staying for a night or 2 but in the end we stopped 5 nights and used it as a base to explore Phuket as it was so nice and such good value.

Though a pool was being built we found that this did not disturb us in the least. The bar was excellent -really chilled out and comfortable, and the whole place in finished to an exceptionally high standard.

I must agree with the previous review in that the dogs at the bottom of the hill are a real pain. I love dogs normally, but these dogs were intent on trying to bite, and my wife felt threatened by them. Shouting at them seemed to keep them at bay, but they would have got a boot had they bitten either of us! But don't let this put you off!

Breakfast was nice-available til 1pm which is great if you've had a heavy night. My wife and I would certainly stay here again. On the last night we didn't return until late, and we wanted to settle our bill. Orpheo (one of the owners) allowed us to pay the balance in sterling as we didn't have chance to go to the bank, and the system had been closed down so it was too late to pay by credit card. We are very grateful for that.

I would also recommend doing a couple of trips (which the hotel can sort out) -especially the Phi Phi trip which we loved. The elephant trekking was also superb.

All in all an excellent experience which we would both love to repeat one day
Fantastic stay!!

I was sitting in front of computer searching for a nice hotel in Phuket, and suddenly I came over Boomerang Village. The recomandations from this forum were outstanding, and they are all true.

First of all,- location: Its located away from the main road and away fron all those scandinavian restaurants in the city. The hotel is located in the hills overlooking Kata city. It is more or less in the jungle, and the noise from all the small animals when dusk arrives is just amazing - but fantastic!
When we arrived (hotel can pick you up in taxi at the airport-just send them a mail (800b)) we were welcomed by the staff and was presented flowers! and we were taken to their restaurant and given a welcome drink and some info about the place. The service and the staffs attitude was very good. Everything was "yes-of course".
The easiest is to rent at moto from the hotel (200 b/day), but you can also walk fown to the beach or to the city. It will take aprox 15 min.
The rooms are spacious and lovely decorated in Thai-style. The restaurant is very nice, and the food (italian and thai) is absolutely superb. Most probably you won't find any better place to eat italian pasta in the city! Breakfast was nice, with egg &bacon, fruit, jam.......++ Its served untill 2pm!! Great chill-out music too...

In march they started working with the pool which is finished in august/september, and when its finished it will be just a great place.
Hidden Gem

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of Feb 08.
The hotel is run by 3 Italian friends.
We stayed in a superior cottage suite. The cottage had lovely views as it was at the highest point of the hotel grounds. The rooms was large and very comfitable. With a small terrace.
There was an onsite Italian restaurant which served good food at a good price. Breakfast was also served in the restaurant and it was available from 8am till 1pm! The breakfast was a buffet style but very good.

We would recommend hiring a moped from the hotel (very good price). As this is the easiest way to get around this part of Phuket.

The only downside of this hotel is the rather steep hill to up to the hotel. But having a moped solved this problem.

However at the bottom of the hill one of the local homes has three very vicious dogs. They are only out at a night time but you can not see them due to poor lighting. Having the moped allowed us to wizz passed them, however on our first night we walked back to the hotel and were chased by the dogs.
So we would advise either hiring the moped or getting a tuk tuk or taxi to the bottom of the hill to avoid the dogs.
This is not a reflection on the hotel.
Perfect vacation at Boomerang village!

We just returned from a beautiful vacation in Thailand and absolutely loved our stay at Boomerang Village. The hotel website is so beautiful that it made us suspicious, but when we got to the hotel, we were delighted to find that it really is as nice as it looks in the pictures! The hotel is located about 15 minutes walk from Kata or Karon beach, so it is good to rent a motorbike, which you can do from the hotel office for a very reasonable rate. For the first half of our vacation, we stayed in Chalong Bay, and though that was also nice, we were happy to move to the Kata area where there are many more shops and restaurants. That said, the hotel gardens are absolutely gorgeous, even for Thailand, and the hotel's location on a hillside above the beach means that the nightlife and traffic below become a distant memory when you are sitting out on your private terrance enjoying the view! The price of rooms includes a delicious breakfast (that includes free cappuccino, espresso or americano!!), served by friendly staff in a truly lovely open-air restaurant. We could not have been happier with our stay. The hotel managers went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, and if we vacation again in Phuket, we will definitely make another visit to Boomerang Village.
Nice place to stay

After the hot, dirty cities of Bangkok and Chiang Mai, coming to the Boomerang in Kata was wonderful. The pool is great and just what we needed! The restaurant is pretty average - the building looks good but the dinner was overpriced and really average. I expected the pasta to be good considering the owner is Italian but it was terrible. However the staff are great and really helpful. We didn't do our research and spent our one day walking the streets in Patong instead of hanging out at Kata beach and regretted that immensely. I do recommend this place for the most part, they do on the whole a great job.
